What officer position?

Candidates,
One of the first responsibilities of a new board is to elect new officers. The positions that will need to be filled are President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
Which position would you like to be elected to and why?

I would hope that those members of the board that have already served half of their time would fill the major positions just because they would have the experience on the board. With NO experience with the board at all, I probably would only be qualified to serve as Vice President if push came to shove and a position needed to be filled.

I have held the President and Vice President offices in my 4 years on the board. If elected and my peers feel I would be a good choice to serve in any of the office positions, I would certainly give it consideration.

Strong leadership is critical to a solid working organization. Whomever holds the positions will need the strength of all the other board members and the support of the membership.

I’m going to have to side with the Commander on this one. I’ve been on other boards and things before, but I haven’t been on this one. If elected to this board, I’d probably look at the officer positions for my second year.

Hi Team Black-Cat, You sure have some very good questions for us members who are running for the board. I would be willing to fill any position where the other peers on the board already would like me. I am a easy person to get along with, I am not afraid to most always give my input and ideas on things that are brought up. Bring new deas to the board when they rise. You never know if it is a good idea unless you say something. If I am elected I look forward to see what new comes our way in the new Year.
