Candidates,
If you are elected to the BOD, you may or may not be nominated to fill one of the officer positions. Which officer position do you think you might like to fill and why?
My aspirations on the board are to help and contribute my initiative, experience and creative ideas to help grow and keep the membership together; enjoying events and games that only the WGA can provide. I, myself would not seek an officer position my first year unless a board member thinks it would be a good fit. That goes back to biting off more than you can chew. I would rather do a good job and accel, learn the ropes then under-perform and let the membership down by being over ambitious and being stretched between to many duties. It is always better to be honest with yourself and others.

I would entertain remaining in the role as Treasurer.
I have been happy to hold the role of Secretary the past year. I have fast typing fingers! If my peers would like to vote me into this position again, I’d accept.
Oh the woes of the short geocacher!
I was hesitant to accept any role as an officer last year but after thinking it out, I am glad I accepted the role of President. I did enjoy term and I hope I did an above average job in the position.
I think the WGA forefathers were wise to suggest the 1st year of an incoming BOD be that of learning the ropes of how the Board and committees operate but each person is unique as is the history and mix of the current Board members.
Following the signals from space.
I would prefer to just be Board member the first year so as to learn the ropes, but if nominated to fill an officer position I would give it my best shot.
