23+ years of working Grocery/Convenience Store Biz, I have learned 3 things. People can’t see, people can’t read, people only read what they want to read.
Perfect example. Tuesday, with strong wind, out front door kept getting blown open and newspapers and such kept getting blown off the racks.
We had to lock the that doors and put up TWO signs asking people to use the other entrance. How may people do you think ran into the door and continued to push one the door?

I’m glad I was in Oconto on Tuesday, or it could have been me. I’ve pulled this bonehead move. Sometimes you just zone out with distractions real or on the mind. Although, in my defense, I would have only pushed once 🙄

Well, I think this might have already been brought up, and I just posted something about it on another thread – but someone posted a find on geocaching.com, and wrote something like “I was there, but there were kids there, so I’ll sign the log in the future.” When I posted my find, I wrote – you can’t count it as a find until you sign the log, and they sent me an angry e-mail telling me to stop “bashing” them. Wow. I still am having a hard time with that one. And I’ve seen a few others like that. If someone does that on one of my caches, that gets deleted.

How about I just log, “I drove by, and saw where it probably was, but they were playing a good song on the radio so I didnt feel like getting out of the car? I will sign it next time.”

LOL. Might have to try that some day, just for fun. Really, some people just need to read the rules. In basketball, the shot only counts if it goes thru the hoop. In caching, the find only counts if there is pen to paper. Seems pretty simple to me.

Heck, I don’t sign logs any more…it’s not how I want to play and it doesn’t bother anybody. It’s just a game…or a hobby…

I find most roadside p&c caches at 55 to 65 mph, and often from a mile or two away. It’s how I like to clear those pesky icons from my “nearest to” map.

Get with the times, GR, use Google Earth Street View like all the “pros”. You save gas AND the environment 😛
