Maybe they are still listed as caches on another site?
Why are you looking for them anyway? Just curious…Simply working off an old query, or….??? You mention cacheS…plural….???
Either way, they aren’t published on geocaching.com any more. Now, I have logged archived caches as found that I’ve done rescue missions on but if the owner didn’t allow it, so be it. Move on, more important things in life to do.
If you think the caches should be removed, file a rescue mission on this site and a reviewer will look at it.
How far in advance do you plan a 650 mile roadcruise? Yes, it was archived in the window between when the PQs were created and when the trip took place. Only one cache in question as it relates to me but the CO archived ALL of his caches because he didn’t like TFTC logs. Since he left at least the one container in the woods, I presume that he left them all. I challenge all Wisonsin cachers that reside in this same area to determine how many of the caches are still littering the landscape.
12/02/2011 at 2:41 pm #1947247Obviously the cache should have been removed if it is no longer meant to be a cache on any site. Again the proper course of action for that is to contact a WI reviewer and ask for it to be removed if the owner is not doing so.
In my opinion your eponymous posts are unnecessarily confrontational, particularly since your point of contention only relates to one cache. I don’t know One Paddle Short from Adam but I wouldn’t presume to call them “arrogant,” etc.
Let a reviewer know, and move on.

As is your reply. I’ve moved on. Merely looking for what others thought. Isn’t that the point of forums?

I doubt you do but since you asked.. 😉 It was the result of a mob related series of geocaches from back in 2007. Kind of stuck.

Can I apply for a rescue mission if its not my cache?

Yes, just file a mission request.

No wonder One Paddle Short took his marbles and ran home.

12/02/2011 at 11:48 pm #1947257LCG points or not, if I’m in the area I’ll stop and pick up any OPS caches that are still out there.
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
12/03/2011 at 12:05 am #1947258Obviously he doesn’t care about the containers. I say keep them for yourself if you get them.
12/03/2011 at 6:40 am #1947259As mentioned before…. Geocaching.com isn’t the only geocache listing website. Might want to check the other sites before yanking a perfectly good cache out of play…

You do know that once a cache is archived on geocaching.com, it instantly becomes geo-litter, right? 😯
