I was in a rather interesting situation this afternoon.  I was looking to drop off some travel bugs at several caches that I’ve already found, but I cam across a situation that I wasn’t able to get to one because a park’s grounds crew, and another ground’s crew was about to remove another cache’s hiding spot.  My question is what would you do in the situation where a crew is about to remove a cache’s hiding spot but you were still able  to get at it?  I know what I did, and I can always tell, but I would rather hear some other opinions

If a cache or cache hiding place is no longer there, I put in an Archive request.

Definitely would not be dropping the TBs anywhere near this area. I would check on the cache later when the park’s people are gone. If the cache is then gone; contact the owner. If no response/action after a month or so, put in an NA.

I can tell you that the cache’s hiding spot is still there according to the CO, but another nearby cache disappeared.  I guess I should always take things with a grain of salt, because this crew probably wanted to clear this away or maybe had orders to, but didn’t
