As a Board candidate, what would you like to see the WGA accomplish in 2010?

For me, the top priorities would be making the State Park program happen and be successful, and trying to organize a plan for communicating with parks department and law enforcement.

I would like to see the WGA open lines of communication with the DOT and other Government agencies that have not embraced the benefits of Geocaching yet.

Would like to see a list of cache posting guidelines for each County, parks Dept. ,City, Town. listed where it can be easily found on the website.

And I know this is a pipe dream, but it would be nice to have all the geocachers in the state be one big happy family

I would like to see the State park series happen. I would also like to see more communication with State and local park departments.

A membership drive with a greater effort to reach out to cachers is something I feel can happen with a little effort and not take up a whole lot of resources.

The state park idea is also a great step forward, and will bring a lot to the geocaching community in Wisconsin once it gets going.

    Thanks for the question Renee.

I would like to see the WGA be very successful with the DNR cache program being proposed. The family/kid friendly goals of this program are near and dear to me. Also, this program will be a big win-win for both the DNR and the WGA.

I would also like to see the WGA events focus on family/kid friendly activities and caches. I really like the idea of dedicating a single event organizer/volunteer to this effort for our events and this will be a great improvement that will go a long way with those who might consider attending future WGA events.

I would like to see a forum section added that opens up before each WGA event that has a Board of Directors feedback session so that members not present can share their ideas/concerns with the board members. All ideas brought to the boards attention at the meeting should be re-posted on the forums for all to comment on.

Finally, I’d like to see some improvements to our website both visually and functionally. Focusing on bringing in new members and easily finding information.

I would like to see a push to increase awareness of the WGA, especially in lower population density areas of the state. This wouldn’t be just a goal for this year, but an ongoing project.

I wold like to see something finally happen with the Adopt-A-Highway program.

I would like to see a 2010 WGA geocoin produced.

Of course I would like to see the successful implementation of the joint venture with the Wisconsin DNR as proposed by the current BOD.
