    KAYAK

    Ammo Boxes

    Matchstick containers

    PALM handheld

Most of the stuff we already had… snowshoes, army shovel, hiking stick, boots, rain gear, 4-wheel drive, camo duct tape…

Geocaching enhanced the reasons to get a GPSr, computer, canoe… we probably would have bought them even if we were not cachers.

Okay; mosquito jackets, palm, pathtags, couple extra GPSrs, all I can come up with off the top of my head.

Surprised no one has said a depleted bank account…

    #1908158

We carry a few strange things in the car that are probably not “survival gear”!

      1) 75 feet of nylon rope (it was 100).
      2) Camo, brown, and silver duct tape.
      3) Matchstick holders (they keep disappearing), no matches!
      4) Little zip-lock baggies.
      5) Digital camera (ALRs are OK).
      6) 3 pairs of dry socks.

We are good with all that.
      For us add:

      1. Snowshoes (two pairs)
      2. Metal detector.
      3. Cammo parachute cord.
      4. GSAK 8)
      5. Laptop computer
      6. Two Garmin iQue 3600’s (Palm)
      7. A new geo 4×4
      8. RAM mounts for the bike, snowmobile and boat.
      9. Three sets of tires for the last geo-mobile. ❗
      10. A geo ready bag.
      11. DeLorme for Wisconsin, Wyoming, etc.
      12. Two entrenching tools. 😛
      13. Snow probes.
      14. Snake bite kit.
      15. A rattle snake stick. (A tire “thumper” from a Utah gas station (GCMZHF)
      16. MapSource
      17. CacheMate
      18. A dental inspection mirror.
      19. Two Garmin GPSr
      20. Flashlights (mini-mags) (8-D cell monsters) 🙄

OK, the list kinda goes on, and on, but this will give you a brief idea.

But, compared to the stuff I have for fishing, the geo-stuff seems pretty reasonable……all things considered.

Oh yeah, a recent purchase to add:

      21. A set of Weatherguard floor mats for the geo-mobile.

(That will be nice for our winter caching activities and all the mud that we walk in.)

You mean we were supposed to trade those out when we found the cache? 😈

As we were walking away from that cache, I suggested that we should log “Took 100 smiley face balls, left a binder clip, TFTC!” just to see what your reaction would be.

I have bought an I-pod that is only used for geocaching.

What I would not own had I not started GeoCaching:

      Tupperware
      Camo Tape
      My new camera
      My new cell phone

What I would have if I had not started GeoCaching:

      My old camera
      My old cell phone
      That girl’s phone number
$400 that I could spend on that girl on various dates if I only had her number. . .

The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

Where's George? Stimulating the economy one EMS'ed dollar at a time.

Also, 2000 smiley face rings, 500 smiley face erasers and 1000 smiley face guys. I am planning a new cache…

      #1908169

Sounds like my googly eye cache. I would never have bought hundreds of googly eyes from walmart on 2 separate trips.
