While replying to another thread I thought of a question that may or may not be of interest to others. It’s more of a curiosity thing…
Other than the obvious…vehicle keys, ID, pen/pencil…what **ONE** thing do you ALWAYS make sure to have in your pocket while caching?

04/19/2006 at 4:51 pm #1761372My car keys. I don’t trust them to be anywhere else but in my pocket. Also I always carry a knife as you just neverknow when you will run across a wild Snipe in rut.

04/19/2006 at 5:33 pm #1761375i don’t normally have much in my pocket as i usually carry a small backpack with stuff. if i’m going for a quick find, however, i guess i’m just a pretty obvious person……..you know, the kleenex, the gloves, the 5M&M Salad…

04/19/2006 at 6:41 pm #1761376Really two things. 1. Compass, 2. Spare batteries. #2 is sometimes left behind if we are on one of our GPS-less quests. #1 is always there.

I heard the corkscrew works best for this. although we have always had the children use plastic grocery or burlap bags to catch/trap them.
04/20/2006 at 9:42 am #1761383Ya know, I tried it that way with no sucess; I mustn’t have been doing it right. I rang the bell and everything but…nothing.

Let’s not start with the pocket pool jokes. This is a family site you know!
