didn’t get my pq’s yesterday. showed they generated at 12:00am. all three of them. put them back in for today, and they haven;t generated. i see GC has put in a new offline PQ but i don’t know what it is. anyone else having trouble?
10/07/2009 at 10:26 pm #1915028I was on Monday. Kind of frustrating when the darn thing finally came through and it was yesterday. I really don’t mind caching in rainy weather all that much, but I have a medical condition that flares up this time of year anyway, and precipitation makes it worse. So I was not a happy camper!
I’d be less grumpy if I wasn’t paying for a service to get them, but…..
Hope they come through soon.

Maybe GC owes me some of my $ back?10/08/2009 at 3:47 pm #1915030Whats up with the off line PQ? No instructions that I can find. I haven’t had any problems with my pq’s
10/09/2009 at 12:01 am #1915031I spoke with Groundspeak about the “Offline PQs” page. They accidentally left the instructions out of the last update, but it is probably not what you think it is. The Geocaching app for the Iphone allows you to download your PQs to the phone to use off line (say you are going somewhere without cellular service). Some people wanted instead to upload their own custom GPX file for later download to the Iphone app. This new page is specifically for this purpose. If you don’t have an Iphone, it is worthless. If you have an Iphone, but aren’t going somewhere with no service, it is not so great either. If you want to send your own GPX to your Iphone (rather than just reading the information off the network when you need it), this is for you.
Edited to add that if you wanted to upload corrected puzzle coordinates to your Iphone app, I think this would do the job. I think this would only appeal to those who use the Iphone as their sole GPS for geocaching (I know of only one experienced person doing this.)
10/10/2009 at 3:37 am #1915032i use the ipod touch, like the iphone, but no phone and no internet. that feature will be great for me. i use igeocacher to do the same thing, but i also have the iphone app. it will be good to be able to cull out the caches i don’t want to look for and have it in the touch for paperless caching.
