So really, what’s UP with your altitude ?

I’ve done the Teton Pass Cache. The “climb” wasn’t too bad and the view of Jackson was spectacular 😀
The two earthcaches also had virtuals in the same spot. I stopped doing E/C’s at Yellowstone once I realized I couldn’t keep the information straight. I kept getting the info mixed up or lost, so I opted to do virtuals instead. The Yellowstone-North America’s Hot Spot is the same location as GCGFRQ –A Butte-iful Lake View and The Lake That Drains to 2 Oceans is the same as GCH5EM –Oceans Bound. Looking back, I wish I had done the E/C’s as well, but there’ll be another time for that 8)
As for the others…those will have to go on the waiting list 😯

Mrs. TE1. Download your “My Finds” Pocket Query to GSAK
2. Download the Elevation macro from this LINK
3. Run the macro in GSAK (MACRO>RUN/MANAGE) then highlight “elevations.gsk” and click “Run”This took awhile to run, so make sure you have some time to let it run.
Hopefully this helps…

I ask, because I had it on my previous computer and it’s gone. After our trip west I’d like to run it again, and after searching the GSAK forums and master macro index, I can’t find that particular macro.
Help!

There might be one lower. I think of the cache in Lake Winnebago (underwater) and wouldn’t be surprised if there are other underwater caches off the coast of say Florida.
11/07/2011 at 5:25 pm #1937785I know the lowest cache is Badwater in Death Valley. Something like 260 feet below sea level. There may be lower ones in other countries.
The link that was posted to the macro earlier in this thread no longer seems to work, and I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted in the macro index, so I asked here. Hopefully someone with more tech savvy knows the nitty gritty.
11/08/2011 at 5:53 pm #1937786Interesting thread. I did find the elevation macro in the gsak forums – try this link: http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=10289&st=220&#entry141556
As for my finds, the highest is GC1J8T3 “Big Horn Sheep (Eastbound only)” Colorado, 8798 ft
and the lowest is GCMKWT “At the Pier”, California, -28 ft -
