The chores can wait if the weather is nice.
Actually, if the weather isn’t nice the chores can wait too.
The Blondie Bloodhound and YT are all season…. all weather cachers.

This year, my baby is 6 months old and we are not putting in her day care at all yet so I spend a lot more time changing diapers and and giving bottles. I get furloughed from dad duty to go caching only with negotation and planning. I really like caching, but it does not compare to the joy of holding a baby.

We were curious on how your caching stats might change post-baby. Not surprised that the baby won. Next summer will be much easier caching with Zumette. Our little guy won’t wait in the stroller while big brothers head into the woods. He gets the game/fun already and wants to see the swag.
We cache when the weather is nice and the chores can wait at our house. “Making memories”

I have been caching some with Zumette, but it is a lot different. I am used to going sunrise to sunset, and that is just not possible now. I can go for 3 or 4 hours with her, but that is about it at this point. She likes regular meals, regular naps and regular diaper changes. People who have cached with me know we dont stop for food until it is dark, there is no napping allowed, and the woods are a great place to keep care of voiding needs.
BTW, we have a jogging stroller that can do most terrain < 2.5 and I have a front carrier, a Baby Bjork, which works on higher terrain. I have a back pack too, but havent used it yet, as she is just now old enough for it.
