Which web browser do you use? Why do you use it?

I use Opera because it has tons of built in features and I dont’ have to install tons of addons to get it to work the way I want it to work. One of the features I like is the Opera Link. Syncs your “bookmarks, notes, searchs, personal bar, typed history, and speed dial” between multiple computers running Opera and up to the internet from their site. Firefox has a pluggin that does this threw 3rd party and Safari’s you have to pay $99 a year for.

The note sync is great, that is where I keep all of my Geocahing notes. I bring one of my laptops with me and take notes with it out on the field and when I come home they sync right up with the rest of my computers.

I use Firefox, IE and Chrome. I also use SeaMonkey on occasion. My primary browser is FireFox at home and IE at work. IE is better these days then it used to be but FireFox is still the best IMO due to all the custom apps you can install.

I can’t really answer that poll as it is, but here is how I roll…

Mac: Safari almost exclusively, far faster and more reliable than any other browser I’ve tried, and I’ve had a few on here. I use firefox on occasion as a filler or if i’m troubleshooting web problems.

PC: Firefox almost exclusively here, again, faster and more reliable than everything I’ve tried. IE is a backup as there are a few sites that will throw up “Sorry you can’t continue without IE 6 or higher”.

Yeah its a bummer that you can’t select multiple options in this polls. I also have to use Safari on http://www.geocaching.com to get the “Send to GPS” feature to work.

I guess if you have more then 1 browser you use. Select the one you mostly use or prefer.

I prefer Google Chrome for browsing. I have other reasons why I use IE and Firefox but most of those are work related or for other add-ons and plugins present in those other browsers. But for just “browsing” I seem to enjoy the simplicity and quickness of Chrome.

Not a mac user so I’ve never touched Safari and I think once a long time ago in it’s heyday I used Opera.

What no Wii internet channel powered by Opera option? 😛

That would either fall under Opera or Other. Never tried Opera on the Wii or the DS, any good?

No not really. Was jokin 🙂

I’ve posted to these forums from the Wii before and logged a cache or two. It used to be able to do flash based stuff but apparently as sites upgrade to newer plugin versions the wii stays behind and can’t keep up. When we got it my son could play club penguin on it and now it doesn’t work.

I’ve only ever played guitar hero on my son’s DS so I don’t know about internet on it but I know he goes online with it too (once dad got the wireless working of course..)

Safari, Opera. IE only when I absolutely must.

At home I use Firefox almost exclusively. I feel it’s a lot “leaner” application that doesn’t have all the bloat IE is known for. Also not too thrilled about how tightly IE is integrated with Windows.

Nor am I, any browser you can’t remove is asking for trouble.

    Mostly Firefox.

    IE when I have to.

Chrome when I’m on my “slower” PC as it seems to be lightning-fast.
