    Hi!

Wanted to know – which other Geocachers have you met, and… is there any way for other cachers to ‘identify’ you while you are caching!

We have met Freespace69 and Missyja007, EcoAdventurer and Recharged, Rogheff, Polskaqueen and family, Clydesdaddy, Jamcakes.

We met all of them at our cache which was planted with the evil intention OF meeting other cachers. LOL (Our plan WORKED!)

We have gone caching with Freespace, Missy and Clydesdaddy – They are a BLAST!!! Would SO go again – I have a hilarious story about my and Missy’s nighttime Jeep run… I should post it sometime.

And.. who would I WANT to meet?? Tyedyeskycrew, Brkster, The Cheeseheads (Since I have a pencil now with a block of Cheese on it, in their honor.) Theres more.. but those few stick in my mind!

Tyedyeskycrew has had us pulling out our hair several times – we would like to meet our torturer. LOL And yes, I have HEARD them called “Tydesky” as a last name before…

We use one trail name for all of us – me, hubby and Joel. My and hubby are almost always a package deal – we rarely go without each other – but Joel, our two year old, sometimes goes, sometimes stays with Grandma!

Best way to find us?? Check our Geocaching profile! Our photo is up – just look for two noobs who think they know what they are looking for. Im usually harshly whispering to Jim, “Thats not discreet – watch for muggles!” While he looks around and gives them eye contact… 🙄

Heck, we are learning. In all honesty – we havent had much muggle trouble!

    Aside form the secret handshake…?

I’ve met about 20 ish other caching teams on the trails….introductions are always made….

look for someone else with a GPSr … that tends to give it away … unless they’re like me and try to make believe it’s a camera 🙄

I’ve meet tons of cachers, but mostly at events.

For some reason we rarely run into other cachers out in the woods (maybe one or twice in the last couple years) … but many times we find out later we just missed them by an hour or so … a few weekends back my family, Auntie Nae and Bushwhacking Queen all went to the same caches in the Thiensville/Cedarburg area, all just missing each other by a short period of time at each cache.

Well – we are heading out both today and tomorrow in the Bristol/Racine/Kenosha/Northern IL area – Look for us!

I’d love to meet you folks as well. My cache hunting is dependant on my work schedule. I either search alone, with my son, Danny, or wait until my girlfriend, Robin (Norwegianbird) has some free time for cache hunting. I have also cache hunted with a number of other area cachers either by design or by running into them on the trails. That’s usually the funnest part..when we all share geocaching stories. I’m hoping to get out tomorrow afternoon, and hit a few in the area as well.

I’ve met so many cachers in the last 7 months, and I am so bad with names that I wouldn’t want to embarrass myself by forgetting anyone. We’ve met a lot on the trails as well as at the two events we attended this year, We are planning to attend another in October, and will probably meet a bunch more there that we have not met before.

We will also be on the trails tomorrow. Hope to see you there. Eventually, our paths will cross, just don’t throw any rotten veggies at me! 😉 😆

Me and my wife Got those nifty name tags at the picnic 06 so we have been wearing them when we cache in the woods not in the city cuz then people think were weird 😆

but we have not met anyone on the trails while caching. so wearing them is kinda pointless so we just keep wearing them in the hope of meeting someone sometime.

    well off to go hunting

Trudy & I have met many, many cachers. Most were met at events, but it is more exciting to meet them on the trails. If I don’t know the cacher, I will hide my GPS and pretend to be a muggle… “Whatcha doin?” I once pulled that on a cacher that recognized me from the BOD photo; that didn’t get the reaction I expected. We once ran into Pharmteam on the trails, twice in one day. Meeting other cachers is the best part of the sport. they all seem to have a streak of mischief in their souls. ~tb

Well, let’s see…I’ve run into Brkster, NorweignBird, Seniorsearchers, Hatlat, Cinemaboxersand UncleFun on the trails. I’ve cached with Brkster and DanBike. I’ve met a whole gaggle of cachers at the Clue event.

Oh yeah, I regularly cache with Kev507, Raging Thunder, Henwood, Ryando, The Icks and Master Nai.

There’s a bunch of you I’d to meet up with – oh, you know who you are.

Well.. we met some on the trail today! 2forGeoFun!
VERY nice couple, and were hitting the same caches we were (The new Bristol woods ones) We learned there that Nemesis 8 was out right now, so we will have to head back on THAT one.

We will be out again tomorrow – anyone planning on any specific areas or caches? Would be VERY neat to find some cachers!! We have not even BEGAN to plan our day tomorrow….

We met another caching couple for the first time just this evening at a local restaurant. I recognized them from a photo they’d posted at one of our caches, also the GC pin on his hat was a tip-off. They live very near us. We have rarely bumped into other cachers out on the trail, but have cached many times with others. We’ve only been to 3 or 4 events, but really enjoyed meeting lotsa new friends, and look forward to meeting many more.

We also have a cache near our home which has helped us meet some cachers.

One weekend a long while back I met a father son caching combo while I was in town on business. They were just learning how to use their gps and had only a handful of finds. We chatted about caching for a bit, and I remember thinking how nice it was to see them so enthused about caching.

I hear they’ve found a few more since then.

      Hello again from Idaho Tapps!!!!

Met Vince Condella at ‘Hemerocallis’ today – every bit as nice in person as he appears to be on TV

      #1765764

We’ve met several cachers at events, but only a very few on the trails.
This weekend we ran into Galaxy Finder at a nearby cache. We were approaching “Ground Zero” and a voice came from the trees! The voice was right where we were headed so we stopped.
After a short conversation, we realized he had not yet discovered the cache and he invited us to join in the search. Minutes later, cache was in hand and we were all signing.
Very nice to meet him and put a face with the name.
Oh — how did we recognize him as a cacher? Basically, it was a disembodied voice coming from where we figured the cache to be. Really no other reason for a person to be there so it just made sense.
