Today I reached a milestone while caching with some friends. Not only did I mark my 100th find at Bryna’s Bug Bucket, but it also marked my 100th travel bug/coin! Woo hoo! In honor of my 100th find, I decided to become a member on the WGA website. I will also be placing another cache soon in honor of my 100th with, you guessed it, a travel bug theme to it.
I’m a travel bug fanatic! Is there anyone else in the state with 100+ travel bugs/coins, or am I the first? The most interesting bug I’ve found so far is The Kid’s Twinkie Test. It actually has a twinkie in it that has survived months of various climates. I guess it’s part of an experiment. What has been the most unique and interesting travel bug you have found so far?

ROTFL, Do they do a taste test on the Twinkie in the end?? Or does the poor family dog become the victom…..
Picture 2 small kids with evil little grins on their faces calling the family dog while dangling a twinkie between two fingers. (That rover, he’ll eat anything) Heh.
Their next Bug will be called, “Does the chewing gum loose it’s flavor in the cache box over night”.

I don’t know that I can go along with putting Twinkies in a cache. There are rules governing “food” in caches. Then too, there is the question of wether Twinkies are food or not. This has been the subject of some rather serious research at Rice University: http://www.twinkiesproject.com/

Many of us have been enjoying your caches too.
Where did the Beast find a Twinkie web page is what really worries me though.01/12/2004 at 2:25 pm #1736457I have that page bookmarked as well….
I also have two about the marshmallow bunnies that are always good for a giggle!

01/12/2004 at 3:21 pm #1736458Congratulations on your 100th cache and bug. Wow. I really like your caches you’ve placed so far. The travel bug cache was my 200th on Christmas morning. Make sure you catch my brother Uncle_Fun, he could use the competition.

01/12/2004 at 6:41 pm #1736459Congrats whitnallgps. Just one question, why did it take so long to join us? But we’re always glad to welcome another member into our ranks. How on earth did you find 100 bugs with only 100 finds? Thats pretty impressive. Oops, guess thats two questions. Again congratulations and welcome to the group.
