I was puttering around in groundspeak last night, trying to bring the todo list up to date when I stumbled into Fond du Lac. I found scores of caches to add to the list then noticed that a LARGE number of them belonged to JimandLinda. The team name is new to me. I did some further digging and found that they do not frequent these pages. They are referenced in the cemetary caches thread started by Marc54140 a few weeks ago, but nothing else. I checked GC.com and found they have placed more than a hundred caches and found more than 800 in less than a year. In fact their 1 year anniversary is coming up in about a week. As Butch Cassidy would say: “Who are those guys?” I will just have to go up to Fondy and check this action out. Ecorangers look out, there is a new team on the block that seems intent on showing us a thing or two.

I have only met Jim …..

Yes, they have a lot of cemetery caches. Great caches. Well worth planning a trip to take them in.

And yes, Ecorangers, watch out! If they plant any more, they will take over First place on my list of whose caches I have found the most.

They even have a few up this way, well, at least one that I have found.

They’ve got a pretty good grip on Oshkosh too. I’m actually hoping to get our first cache out before they grab the spot. 😯

We’ve done a number of their caches and enjoyed each one. Trekkin’ did one he really enjoyed somewhere over near Oshkosh, titled something like “A Trip Around the Block,” which was a four stage multi that was indeed a trip around a block.

This post is kinda like “who is that masked man?”

I had the pleasure of meeting the Jim half of the team at my CITO event in Appleton this past spring.

They have put out not just a high number of caches but good quality caches as well.

I went to Fondy last night with my usual caching partner and visited four caches by JimandLinda. They were of good quality; well hidden, well camoflaged and in areas that are worthy of bringing a visitor to. We ran out of daylight after an hour of searching or we would have sought more. Well done JimandLinda, we will be back for more.

        😀 Hello to all!
LDove told me we were being talked about. Was wondering why my nose itched! You have all written some very nice things and we greatly appreciate your input, especially sagasu, marc, and sloughfoot, who are inspirations to all of us (ecorangers, too).
BQ mentioned the book that we use. It has been a great resource for cache texts. It was sold locally in FDL County in 1985. I am hoping that by sharing some local history, alot of cachers will keep these areas “alive”, by visiting and commenting in their logs.
We enjoy “backwards caching”! That’s what I call placing a new cache. The “Jim” part of the team is a bit more active than the “Linda” part, but the places we have seen, and the unique placements of the caches, is the best part of the hunt!
Thanks to all for making us feel warm and fuzzy with your log entries. We’ll keep hiding them… you keep finding them!

I take pride in believing that my post here may have had something to do with JimandLinda joining the WGA. Congratulations, We are happy to have you amoung us.

Great point! We have become so much more observant as we travel, even in familiar areas, always on the lookout for interesting spots.

On the Left Side of the Road...
