I made it through all 31 days of August but only found caches on 12 different days. Still 0.387 batting average is pretty good.
Your logic is undeniable. 😆

Got ’em.
We had previously done a much longer streak last year and weren’t expecting to cache for a month straight anymore, but this 31 day thing gave us the extra incentive to go for a month straight. Compared to our previous streak this one was pretty manageable, and fun too! For us it was a marriage enhancer that made us go outside and play and have quality time together. We kind of don’t care about the devalued souvenirs, but then again we kind of do! The bottom line is we had fun doing something we both like to do.
DITTO here for SGH & BB. And we had fun along the way. Got us outside during the “dog days of summer” and onto our geo-bikes a lot more. Not that we ever needed an ‘excuse’ to go geocaching before but it was a positive experience.
After some 3700 plus finds we actually were able to sharpen our teamwork, search skills and cache locating abilities. We even got a FTF along the way. We once did a longer streak previously (on accident) so this one was just more about having fun. A good time was had by all. Glad we tried it and did it.

09/13/2013 at 12:12 am #1971997Made through all 31 days with ease. Now continuing on to see how many days I can push it to. Want to beat my longest slump of 44 days. Sitting at 42 days and I have enough caches around to reach the end of the month.
09/13/2013 at 11:38 pm #1971998I too was able to make a find on all 31 days. I even had to get out twice after it was dark to make a find. Luckily, Rick Blick informed me of this special event just the day before it started or I wouldn’t have even known about it or been able to participate. Thanks for the heads up Rick. It just that life gets busy sometimes and it is nice to get reminders from fellow cachers.

09/24/2013 at 12:47 am #1972000Got it and used it as an excuse to go for 100 days, now over half way and it’s helping me clean up my local area.
