LOL – With bomb squads going out and detonating traditional cache containers (and sending the bill to the cache owner), I don’t blame people for placing micros near urban areas.
True, however I see this more as a reason to go with clear tupperware-type containers, rather than micros, especially in SEMI-urban areas. Yes, micros totally make sense when the chance of mugglers finding the container are extremely high. A side benefit, I guess, of micros is to discourage a TB from being placed in a cache that’s in a high muggle zone too.
Regarding cutting a “window” into an ammo can … I still don’t get why you’d want to go through that much effort, rather than simply using a clear container to start with 🙄 … oh I know why, because what else would you do with all the ammo cans, if they “outlawed” them 😛
My take on cutting the holes in the Ammo Boxes is that I still think they will be more watertight than tupperware containers. I have yet to find a rubbermaid/tupperware container out in the wilderness that is truly waterproof.
I have found loc ‘n loc containers to be very durable.
Those loc n’ loc containers are great!
Might be a good time to revisit this past Forum … http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3956&highlight=
Yep mine are still holding up really well. They are very well made.
Off topic? Perhaps a slight tangent… but still within the theme of the original post…
