I love traveling and head up north at least a couple times every year. Having an event, meeting some new cachers and caching opportunities is a bonus.
What would draw me there? Interesting places to see, permanent caches, Fishing (preferably Trout Streams) and Camping. Would discounts make a difference? Would depend on the discount. Special TB’s or coins? Would depend on the coins.
I think it would be great fun to have an event up North.
Would I travel to cache? You bet I would. I have traveled well over an hour or two just for a few caches. It may not be the most efficient but I enjoy caching in other areas. I would prefer permanent caches as opposed to temps because I do not log temps although I may do them just for the sport of it.
I would be especially excited about caches that took me to “good” fishing spots! I love to fish and kayak too. I have been to the Northwoods a lot but I know there are areas I haven’t seen.
I also enjoy the cameraderie of fellow cachers. It is always fun to get together with people who have that one thing in common… the caching bug!
Why would I travel to the northwoods? Most likely to visit family. I grew up iin the area and still have family there.
