    WO9LF from the Chicago forums:

    quote:

Dont know if anyone happen to have caught this on the news last night,
but it appears that a 3,000 pound monument has mysteriously disappeared
from the side of the road in Homer Glenn.

Problem is, that was one of our waypoints for our virtual “Stroll
    Through Town” cache.

Needless to say, the look on the faces of Jenn and I were priceless when
    we were watching the news.

We must be the only cachers to have ever had our virtual cache muggled.

At any rate, should you happen to be driving down a road and spot a
large brick and granite monument mentioning the invention of the first
steel plow, please mark the cords and let us know so we can update the
    cache page.

    Thanks for your assistance! HaHa

I’ll check our garage. Who knows what’s burried in the rubble there.

Similar experience: We did a virtual up near Spring Green that was an old blacksmith’s shop. We got to the location and looked around — nothing but barns.
The farm owners happened to be out so we chatted a bit. Turned out they had donated the old building and all its contents to the local historical society. The building had been moved a week earlier!
I notified the cache owner that it needed to be archived.
