Has the WGA ever looked into and considered participating in the WI DNR’s Adopt-A-Trail program? We currently have active support for the Adopt-A-Highway Program, with two CITO events held every year. But here is another program which seems like a natural fit with our Geocaching activity, at least from the initial appearance of it.

For example, we support the highway program, which helps with the roads we use for caching, and is consistent with our use of PnG’s; perhaps the Adopt-A-Trail might also be a good fit. We have already participated in several ‘mustard pulls,’ so maybe we are already doing this. And perhaps, a group activity could be tailored to move about and coincide with the WGA campouts.

Something for the board to consider, if they have not already:

Adopt-A-Trail in the State Park System

Provide trails support and clean up.
Perform as crew members on trail construction, renovation, and maintenance.
Assist with the control of invasive species and the planting of native species.
Report any trail obstructions or hazards.

If you are interested in adopting a trail, complete the Adopt-A-Trail Application and Permit [PDF] or contact the park, forest or trail manager………

Looks like that last one was a bot that copied this forum post.

That would explain why someone from South Dakota is so interested in WGA business.

    Bye bye…

A new user from out of state with a zip code of France and the “city” in S.D. was actually in Pakistan. Either a bot or a sock puppet but maybe worth revisiting.
