WI geocoin, icon on geocaching.com

I think I’m going change my mind… an icon like Tie’s first example would be ideal. A geocoin with the state outline on it indicates exactly what it is in a clear and simple manner.

How about having the shape of the state recessed to look like part of the coin though?

I like it rogue, but I think people are getting spoiled about thier icons and will want color.

Well, not exactly. Turns out that geocaching.com charges $150 to have a custom icon for our geocoin. The Board Of Directors of the WGA have voted to spend the $150 and purchase the icon.

Also, the board has voted to use the “coin w/green state” to be the icon, see images below.

I quickly put these images together, and as such they are not of the highest quality.

I’m looking for a talented WGA member who can duplicate the look of the icons above, but better. We will need at 32 x 32 pixel and a 16 x 16 pixel version of the icon.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hummm. I just went through ALL my emails with GC.com and never did they mention a cost associated with that icon. Bad business in my book.
