Awesome well done. I think I will have to be on the official no list for this project though as I still can’t hammer out my plans on that weekend.

We would definately be part of this if the cow coin is chosen, didnt see our name on the cow, kinda sad, we brought up to ask if we could use that idea.

The parrot might be a option for us too but the cow is our first choice

I can always take the coins to my bench grinder and remove the cheese head off of them before we head to the bash.

I didn’t mean to omit anyone from the cow, I just chose some names at random to give an example of what it might look like. Didn’t mean to offend anyone.

So is it safe to guess it would be close to $200 to get in on this coin project? That would give you 20 coins?
Just trying to decide if I’m in or not.

No, it should definetly be $150 or less for 20 coins. So far the quotes have been coming in at about $5.50-$6.50 per coin. I am also thinking about making a “generic” version for people who don’t want to buy 20 coins. I am open to suggestion about what to put on that coin. Also looking for any input on design modifications – please!

If we go with the parrot coin, you can partner with someone if you agree upon colors and personalization- then you could split the order and get 10 each. I have not gotten any quotes on the cow coin yet so I don’t know about numbers with that coin yet.

If 2 people went in on a set of 20, all 20 coins would have to have the same wording on them? I’m just trying to get clarification.

Rubeeslpr wants to split an order and I decide to go in on the venture.. we couldnt have 10 coins that say Rubeeslpr and 10 coins that say Team Kracker, correct? They would all have to say the same thing on the front?

I am still working out the details. One option may be to have a “generic” parrot (one that you don’t get to choose your own colors on) but you could still have personalized engraving. I am really going to work hard to try to have some options available for those that don’t want to have 20 coins.

I am fine with a “generic” version.
Either that or splitting an order.
I am looking for the most economical way to get some coins without having to spend tons of money. I appreciate your efforts to make this happen.

    Here is the preliminary art:

The branch will be bare metal so it can be printed (for those getting 20 or more) or engraved (for those choosing the “generic” parrot option).

I’m 90% likely to be in for a coin project. I’ve got to iron out some things to make sure I can go, but I’m trying.

I like both coins, but if I had to choose, I would stick with the parrot theme.

After checking with several vendors I did find one that would offer the most options for the price. These options include personalization as pictured in the art. For those who don’t want 20 coins the enamel will be left off of the branch leaving bare metal and your personalization will be engraved there. Other options would be that you can split an order with someone if you can agree on what you want printed on the coin, or leave the printing off. The price also includes your choice of regular, glitter or glow colors in all the areas listed on the art as “your choice”. I will post links to the color choices soon.

The total price for 20 personalized coins including shipping will be $150. Each coin over the 20 will be $5.00, up to 50 coins(total price of $300 for 50 coins). The reason the coins get a little cheaper after the first 20 is the initial order includes a set up fee for printing(at almost $1 per coin if you are only getting 20), a portion of the “art fee” and the shipping charge. These coins are 1.75″ and will be trackable with a custom icon. You will have your choice of metals and colors including glitter and glow in the dark.

Robin? Does that mean we could customize the words MWGB 2008 as well? Also would I be able to fit our entire team name on the front (Mathman, SirCumference,The Better Half, Cutie Pi)?

You can cusomize the color of the words MWGB 2008 – not change the actual words. You can put your own wording where it says “custom text”. I am waiting to find out how many letters you will be able to fit in the text areas. There are enough text areas where you should be able to fit your entire team name using all of them. 🙂

We would be interested in a coin if you go with the cow. Keep us updated

No cow, the parrot is being made as a “group project” coin for MWGB. Expect pictures of the actual samples as early as next week.
