When the Myan calendar runs out in December, and the Earth’s poles switch, will my GPSR still work?
When the Earth ends, will it be midnight Australian time, Eastern or Pacific time? Or will it start in Australia and roll around the globe?

I would brush up on your map reading skills. 😆

Yes. You’ll just have to turn it upsidedown.

Naw, it’s gonna be like the NBC tv show Revolution. No power, motors wont run and all the satellites will fall from the sky.
11/03/2012 at 11:00 pm #1965556The way I see it, the Myan calendar ends for one of 4 reasons;
Reason #1. The Master calendar maker died before he could finish teaching his apprentice calendar maker (Julian) how to do it. Julian wasn’t as good, and now we add an extra day every 4 years to compensate.
Reason #2. The calendar maker didn’t get the raise he was promised and said “I’m outta here”.
Reason #3. Making calendars as a hobby, he stopped and said “heck, it goes out 4000 years, that’s enough”
Reason #4. Most likely, he was working in the basement for years on his hobby and the Mrs stormed down the stone steps one day and said “It”s me or that darn useless calendar thingy, choose now”. He sadly put it out in the garage, unfinished , where it was found on the shelf collecting dust 3,800 years later.
11/04/2012 at 2:01 pm #1965557I say the tool got dull and could no longer carve stone. The hardware store was under new management and they no longer stocked new ones. They decided to stock those new fangled things called pencils. The calender maker tried to continue but broke the lead.
