Will You Be At The Board Meeting

By bylaw, each year the WGA Board of Directors holds an organizational board meeting. The date is set in the bylaws, and the location is selected by the outgoing Board of Directors. This year that BOD meeting will be held Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Waterville.

Recent past practice has been for an all day board meeting, running something like 9am – 4pm, with a break for lunch. Expenses for attending the board meeting are not reimbursed, and like all the work you will do for the WGA if elected to the Board will be on your own dime.

All I need here is a simple yes/no response. If elected to the BOD, will you be able to attend this meeting?

Of course, but Waterville was a surprise. I had to Google it, thinking it could not be the Waterville that I know (on Hwy 18 between Wales and Dousman), as there isn’t much there. Unfortunately, this is the only Waterville that Google knows. Is there another one?

I understood the responsibility of attending all WGA events and the board meeting(s) when I accepted the nomination.

While I agree that we are living in an electronic communication era, it’s still good for a group’s board to meet face to face.
