ParticipantSo excited to see all of the names on the ballot! However, I understand that as of now they are just names. It is easy enough to put your name on a ballot – what really matters is what your level of involvement is going to be if elected. I have been a part of too many committees where the old saying “many hands make less work” has not been put in play, but instead the work fell to the very few who were committed. My question for this year’s candidates is this:
If elected, what is your plan to be an active member of the WGA board? When the President/Vice President are looking for worker bees, how will you respond?
The views expressed here are that of myself only and do not necessarily represent that of the WGA board.

When I decided to accept the nomination for the board I had to make the decision that if I am going to do this then I am going to do this. Not do half a job. If the President or Vice President need to delegate work I have no problem doing my part. That is what I am signing up for. I also have no problems taking up the initiative to just get things done as they come up.

MemberMy life for the WGA.
It should be family, work, WGA but sometimes they get out of order and #3 becomes#1. That doesn’t go well sometimes.

MemberBuzz buzz buzz buzz!!!!! I am on the WGA site many times most days. I feel this is the best way to stay informed of all that is going on with our group. I have been very involved in the planning of most of our activities (events and other projects). There have been times in my life which have been extra crazy (moving, wow is that a lot of work!) and I’ve stepped back a bit and participated a little less but I think that’s OK as it happens to us all. I’ve been able to attend almost all of our events, large and small, since I’ve been on the board but even the few that I’ve missed I’ve been a part of the planning, which is the biggest part anyway. You’re right, many hands make less work and I have appreciated having those active board members step up and share the load, it makes this job really fun.

ParticipantAs a board member I feel it is our duty to get the job done. And more hands does mean less work, thus being said, I am willing to help when and where I can.
