Installed at work and at home today, and so far i am very impressed. Everything I have tried works and it is FAST! I like it much better than Vista, havent used it enough for a fair comparison to XP but I am liking it. Anyone else using it, thoughts? what hasnt worked for you?
05/08/2009 at 1:17 am #1907412I’ve been using Windows 7 Build 7000 for several months now and I love it thus far. Will work on installing the RC maybe this weekend.
05/08/2009 at 6:41 pm #1907413I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve heard good things. I notice in their installation instructions they recommend upgrading Vista (as opposed to doing clean install). I’d be interested in hearing people’s experiences with that. This sounds great because I’m not a big fan of reformatting and reinstalling everything, although it does clean out the cobwebs.

I did a clean install from XP, I also did a dual boot of XP and 7 for a while.
05/09/2009 at 2:27 am #1907415I’ll start off saying when vista first came out I tried it for a week on my laptop but ended up going back to XP because I had so many problems using my everyday software. My PC also felt very slow with Vista.
I tried Vista again a year later on the same laptop(with SP1) and was really impressed at how things had improved, I’ve been running Vista ever since.I’ve tried The RC & must say I wasn’t that impressed. I think MS is rushing this product to try and combat all the bad press Vista has had, when in reality Windows 7 is so similar to Vista it will have just as many complaints if not more.
I wouldn’t upgrade a PC to windows 7 when it comes out(especially since Im already running Vista), but if I was in the market for a new PC I would have no problems running it.
05/09/2009 at 2:35 am #1907416From the workplace side of things, after running for a couple days now, I can tell you there are problems running Citrix application, going thru a iPrism proxy server. From the home side, I am still much happier with it than I was vista, jury still out on its comparison to xp.
05/11/2009 at 2:29 am #1907417Hmm well i am unable to use cacheberry with windows 7, anyone else have it working with windows 7? I can’t transfer via usb to my blackberry. 🙁
Found a workaround that isnt pretty but it works, I can use the blackberry desktop to transfer the files to the sd card and then I can import the gpx file from there, blah
