We are now accepting orders for Wisconsin’s first offical geocoin. (Finally!
) Right now, only WGA members can order coins. We will open up sales to the whole world on October 10th, and stop taking orders on October 21st.Coins will be 1.5″ diameter brass coins with a polished gold finish and will be shipped with a protective plastic case. They will be trackable at geocaching.com.

Note that the coins have not been minted yet. We are having people prepay for the coins first, then ordering them when we know how many are needed. After coin ordering is closed, the WGA will obtain the geocaching tracking numbers and order the coins. It is expected that the coins will be shipped in mid to late November. You will receive email notification when the coins are shipped and will be informed if any delays occur in the manufacturing or shipping process.
Special thanks to Paul Thomas (pcfrog) for spearheading the effort to get a Wisconsin geocoin made and for creating the coin design. Without all of his hard work and pushing we never would have been selling coins this year.

Well… Went to order some coins for the Bunnies, and the website wouldn’t recognize our nickname. Any suggestions?
Looking at the online Member Roster your “WGA Nickname”:
Mr. HoneybunnyYou must use THAT, NOT your Geocaching.Com name.
You must also use the correct Password for “Mr. Honeybunny” too if different from your Geocaching.Com password.

Wait tell you open it up to GC.com 🙂 Then you will see some #’s
we are over 48 hours into the sale of the geocoins, and we have orders for over 310 of them.
If you intend on paying by check, I would suggest getting your order in prior to the 10th of October. We are thinking of limiting payment to Credit / Pay-Pal only once we open sales up to everybody.

The last e-mail address we have for you was dated Jan 2005, when you updated your WGA membership. I resent the message to that address (XXXXXCompufortXXX). if this is incorrect.e-mail: trudyandthebeast AT juno DOT com.
Anyone else who feels they may have been missed may contact me directly as well. There are a number of people who gave us bogus information on their WGA membership data, Please don’t waste our time. Wait for the National release. ~tb
Another possibility is that it dropped into your spam filter. I found our e-mail there after we had already made our purchase.
