Just wanted to give you all an update on some news coverage we’ve been getting lately. The Oshkosh Northwestern ran a story on geocaching today. They contacted Mike Schmidt who goes by the ID “Miata”, and Mike gave the reporter my name also. YOu can see that story here: http://www.wisinfo.com/northwestern/local/032602-2.html
Today I received a call from the Oshkosh reporter who said another reporter at a different newspaper wanted a phone number of a different geocacher — someone in northeast or central Wisconsin. I gave her the phone number for Team Rusch. (I’m not sure what newspaper that’s for.) If anyone sees that story in the next few days, let us know.
And last week I got a call from a TV station in LaCrosse who wanted to do a story. I suggested he contact ERH-IN-WI, since he lives in that area. Did anyone in the LaCross area see that story?

Nice to see more good press coverage
I had posted the e-Mail from the Fox Valley reported looking for a local contact… wonder if anyone contacted him.
Thanks Ken for giving them the leads!
I just talked to the same reporter and gave her the name of Bill and Debbie “The Searchers” Funny how we both thought of the Rusch’s. I guess the next article will be for the Appleton Post Crescent.

Glad to here The Searchers and Team Rusch were thought of when talking to reporters. Thanks
Haven’t heard from anyone yet but we will sure talk up geocaching when we are contacted.
Bill
