In getting ready for a Southern Kettle Moraine caching trip I found myself reading the web page for the Ice Age Vista GC684 cache. It says it’s Wisconsin’s 8th oldest active cache. Was wondering if a list exists somewhere of Wisconnie’s other oldest caches!
They should update that. It is now the 6th oldest cache. Simply go to the Seek A Cache page and click on Wisconsin in the drop down for search by state. When the cache listings come up, click the double arrow and it will take you to the last page (817) which is the oldest caches.
I made a bookmark list for a challenge cache we own. Just go to the cache listing and find it in the sidebar of bookmarks.

The one you’re looking at is the original container and log book, which makes it really cool. Kind of musty, but cool.
Wow. Thanks T&B. Kinda fun dipping through there. Didn’t realize WI ever had a 4 digit cache. (Ironically, it was never found)
Related note, here’s a great bookmark list of the first 100 caches. #1 is archived, but #2 in OR is still kickin’.
I also have a bookmark list of each state’s oldest cache. http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=c083a980-f4ee-4105-8fcf-2d3c9244db65

If you are going there, you definitely need to do the Pike Powder Hike ( GC3B1 ) which is Wisconsin’s oldest cache. Well worth the visit and there a few other caches in that park as well.
I thank each of you so very much for your contribution here! Just grabbed Wild Goose Chase! Sweet! I’ve used the info offered in this thread several times already, so thanks again in heaps and gobs!
