If convicted on the 10th-offense charge, Dunaj faces up to 25 years in prison. The charges of fleeing and driving after revocation could add an additional 4½ years to his sentence.

Changing the law to confiscate ones vehicle won’t be enough. It will also have to be illegal to own, rent, lease, borrow, etc., any vehicle. As far as I know, there is no law that says I can’t own a vehicle even though I don’t drive or have a license or am even too young to have a license.

And at what point is enough, enough? This guy has 10 DUI’s. A new law, preventing him from owning or operating a vehicle is not going to stop people like him. We need a law that puts people like this behind bars and keeps them there.

Iknow, I know, the jails are overcrowded with violent offenders and we don’t have enough room even for them.

Soooooo, why aren’t we building more jails/prisons? It would provide jobs for skilled labor to build, and even more jobs in the manufacturing aspect, as well as permanent jobs for the folks that will end up working there.

Don’t want a jail in your town? Put one here. It’ll be a constant reminder to all those would be offenders.
