I swear I saw a reptilian fish looking thing CRAWL from right to left. Walked on all 4’s across the bottom. Had a tail that was rounded. Not sure on the camera magnification but it was probably at least 8 – 12 inches long maybe even a bit bigger.
Thoughts?
(I am not joking this time…)
04/09/2009 at 3:31 pm #1904979Just an FYI it is on at night too. It appears that they have a spot light shinning into the water. and I have been seeing a ton of Walleye at night. haven’t seen the 4 legged crawly thing yet but someone might be lacking on there Cheetos so they are seeing things lol

04/09/2009 at 3:42 pm #1904980Saw nothin’! Which probably explains why I shouldn’t have gone out fishin’ this morning:)

I told you so. When I saw whatever it was, it was about half way up the screen in that area where it is a little more clearer than just a shadow.

Maybe. I swear what I saw resembled more of a crawfish. However, it was bigger than any leaf I’ve seen drift past the camera. Judging be the size of the leaves in comparison to the size of the object that was at a farther distance, the thing had be like a lobster. I’ve seen some pretty big crawfish in this state, but nothing like that. I’m at a loss.
04/09/2009 at 11:26 pm #1904985And what I saw was more like a salamander than a crayfish/lobster…
man if I had only hit the printscreen button… I am sure there are a lot of people thinking and saying that while watching that webcam. 🙂
04/09/2009 at 11:48 pm #1904986Researching mudpuppies I have determined that’s what I saw go by. Interesting. Never seen one before… And I’ve seen just about every kind of fish around here in my 30 + years of fishing local waters.sd
04/10/2009 at 12:41 am #1904987Looked at the mud puppy pictures. I think it would make a good spokesperson for Geico flood insurance. 😯
04/10/2009 at 1:09 am #1904988OK That is way too cool. My 5 and 1 yr olds sat there for 20 min. with me watching it. We must have seen about a dozen fish swim by. Jerry is going to continue watching when I am done posting this!
04/10/2009 at 9:20 am #1904989Crayfish at 4:18 a.m. just after a good sized walleye passed still going upstream in 44 degree waters. Still hoping to see a sturgeon when they start moving.
04/10/2009 at 10:25 am #19049905:25 A.M., off air.
04/10/2009 at 12:05 pm #1904991Just when you thought you could get something done at work…
Ok Everyone,
We are getting everything finalized to launch 2 or possibly 3 more camera locations by maybe Wednesday. Sturgeon cam? Almost ready…hopefully by Easter! Some of the sturgeon are here, but small numbers and certainly not “rolling” yet. 1 other location will be in Fremont to catch the walleyes coming back, the big glob of white bass and whatever else. We are looking to possibly add 1 more location near Shiocton as well, besides the sturgeon cam.I copied and pasted this from the message board on the webcam page. Seems they have big plans for this site 🙂
04/10/2009 at 12:39 pm #1904992Sweet 🙂
