So, I have an idea for another Riddler puzzle (finally) but I’m not sure on how to build it. The base of the puzzle needs to be nearly perfectly round, maybe the size of a baseball. I have various saws and sanders but have no idea how to go about making a sphere out of wood.
If any of you have any woodworking knowledge you would be willing to share, I’d be very gratefull.
My best bet would be to turn it on a lathe….. or do it all by eye sight and feel…. wing it as it were….
Good Luck with it

There are woodworking supply stores that sell all sorts of spindles, caps, and such. Perhaps you can purchase a wood sphere?
There is a Woodcraft store a couple blocks from my house. I did a quick search and found this on their website: http://woodcraft.com/family.aspx?familyid=1122
I’m not sure if they would be big enough though. I think the largest one is 2″ diameter

How about a croquet ball? But I’m not sure where you’d find just one…

Thanks for all the sugestions. I’m going to try Hobby Lobby first, as I need to pick up some dowel for the project anyway.
