Twenty-three players on the board for March. Good to see! Now all we need is one of those hotly contested months. Someone else has gotta run for the monthly honors… eventually. Or will we see a sweep continue into the second quarter?? Congrats, gotta run, on the run. Lonely caches are fun ones to chase, for all the reasons current and prior players have mentioned.

Actually, it was a figure of speech, I don’t own any boots. Just my pair of trusty Keens. I certainly could have used a pair of boots last night though. Went out with the intent of finding the Leather Camp and Twilight Camp caches but the rain was coming down hard and on my first stop in the series I buried those Keens in shin deep slush. On top of that, I couldn’t maintain a signal on my iPhone for anything. No bars! So, with everything working against me I thought, “%(&#) this, I’m going to the bar!” At least I got a couple yesterday.

Dude, why even bother trying? You know we can’t be beaten. There’s absolutely no way. It would be a complete exercise in futility to think that you could possibly catch us this month. Besides, you’d never get clearance to go anyway. So just bask in our awesomeness.

Just dropping a note to make sure readers of this thread appreciate the heavy amounts of sarcasm in this prior post, I’d hate for the notion to catch on that gotta_run has this big of a head… I mean it’s large, but not that large! Now where did I put those batteries? I need a lick….
03/26/2009 at 4:17 pm #1904435You’re right, I should have added
Bwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaahaaaaahaaaahaaaaahaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the Left Side of the Road...03/28/2009 at 1:41 pm #1904436Well, judging from the CONSIDERABLE effort gotta run made yesterday to TREK down a few loneliess in the Northwoods, mostly on foot through lingering snow and some slush – almost 12 miles of trekking by his count – there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s earned every last point for this and the last two months. That’s more determination than I think I even had last year. And on top of that to walk back to revisit a cache just to make sure you had GZ right, a nearly 2 mile RT… Kudos to you man. That’s some serious caching!!!!!!!
Thanks a million for checking on a few and replacing a few for me. At least I don’t have to go out to Nettle Island this summer. Hooray!
03/28/2009 at 2:20 pm #1904437You forgot wading through the NEARLY WAIST DEEP river to get to that island. 😯
