I am new to Geocaching.
Can someone tell me what WSQ stands for?
I see in titles of caches on geochaching.com but don’t know what it means.
Thanks for any info.
I’m pretty sure it is Wisconsin Spiritual Quest
Wisconsin Spirit Quest.
Started some years ago in Indiana, and has spread to several states.
Used on caches in Wisconsin cemeteries. Cache placers use the standard notation to indicate that these are in cemeteries in case you want to look them up easily. There are TONS to find, thanks to marc_54140 and many others.
There are many types of hides using a WSQ listing (all should be respectful of the location,) and it can be quite a learning experience to visit these places.
