I just heard on Podcacher that they are planning another Flash Mob date of May 10…does anyone have any plans?? Hopefully in N.E. Wisconsin!! We had such a good time at the one hosted in Appleton on Nov. 10th.
Anyone have any ideas of a possible locations?
– Lambeau field
– ???
02/18/2008 at 8:34 pm #1884928Lambeau sounds like a great place. Go ahead and start your planning……
02/18/2008 at 10:54 pm #1884929Giz and I are meeting in the morning to discuss this very topic. He has something up his sleeve. Will keep you posted.

Be sure to post it as I missed the last one….
02/19/2008 at 2:44 am #1884931Table 46 is hosting one in SE Wisconsin, in Racine.
I’ll post details when they become available.
02/19/2008 at 3:39 pm #1884932If Giz and his crew are doing some planning that is great. Keep us posted. I would be more than happy to help out in the planning, especially if it is up here near the frozen tundra of LAMBEAU FIELD… 🙂
02/19/2008 at 4:18 pm #1884933I spoke with Giz this morning and he is not dead set on setting up the event. So if the Cachelovesky’s are willing to do the event I am sure he wouldn’t mind helping out with it. He was receptive to the Lambeau Field location.
In other words go ahead and plan it and if you need help with it I am sure he will give you some pointers/advice on it. I would also help out with it in some form.

02/20/2008 at 1:32 am #1884934Yeah there you go flash mob Lambeau. I’d contact security before i decided to do anything like that.. FYI they watch that place like a hawk… Ask Astro Team D about lambeau she may be able to point you to the right people!
Back to the cave to lurk
03/09/2008 at 1:14 am #1884935Do we have any new info on WWFM 3? Had such a great time at the last one, would love to do another.
03/09/2008 at 3:17 am #1884936I think Greenbay was a great suggestion… (not Lambeau but the general location) any additional thoughts about it eh?
03/09/2008 at 4:28 pm #1884937The Lost Cache at Monument Square WWFM III
This one’s gonna be a blast! Hope to see as many of you there as possible.
03/10/2008 at 1:35 pm #1884938I hope that people in the Green Bay/Appleton area aren’t waiting on me to organize this event. Like I said before I would be more than willing to HELP, but feel as if planning and organizing would be a little much.
03/10/2008 at 1:54 pm #1884939I’m not waiting for anything… I think we might get down to the Racine one. Would be nice to get down there for a bit of caching. My wife’s family is from Racine.

Please try to make it. Bring friends and family. People that have never cached even. The more the merrier. We’d love to make this event huge!!!!
For those of you that don’t know what is planned. Here is the itinerary:
Date: Saturday, May 10th, 2008
Time: 12:00PM to 12:15PM
Where: Monument Square in Downtown Racine
What: A 15 minute mob of geocachers. This event will last 15 minutes, not one second longer! This event will be one small part of the WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob) event. This event (and all others around the globe in their time zone) will begin precisely at 12:00PM on Saturday, May 10th.
At 11:45 – 11:59AM participants should wait patiently in their automobile or stroll around the area. STAY AWAY from ground zero! As much as you can, act like a muggle.
At 11:59AM make your way to the event coordinates.
At exactly 12:00PM (as determined by your GPS clock and a whistle blow) we will place a bucket for log sheets near the coordinates. As you arrive, we’ll hand you a “log sheet” or feel free to bring a small piece of paper with your name already written on it. Participants will sign the log sheets (which will later become the log book). To qualify for attendance, drop them in the designated bucket (near the coordinates).
At 12:05PM, on my signal (me yelling…”Has anybody found the cache?”) we will all get down on our hands and knees and begin looking for a non-existent cache (think lost contact). I will select one attendee prior to the event to end the search with a loud “I FOUND IT!!!” at 12:06PM
At 12:07PM we will draw one name from the bucket to see who gets the FTF prize
At 12:10PM we will gather for a group photo in front of the MONUMENT
At 12:14PM, there will be a 1 minute warning whistle. At this time you will begin to prep to leave, but don’t “look” like you are prepping.
At exactly 12:15PM (another whistle blow), the log sheets will be packed up and sealed away. the event area will be evacuated without a trace.
Events that happen after 12:15PM DO NOT COUNT as part of THIS event. If everything goes right we will have lots of people coming out of nowhere and gathering for 15 minutes, hold a geocaching event, and then dispersing…. This could be lots of fun and maybe even raise a few muggle eyebrows!
Remember to check your GPS clock; you are in the CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME ZONE!
03/10/2008 at 9:03 pm #1884941Just a thought from the Appleton Flash mob. There were so many cachers and so little time to meet up and visit that it might be a good idea to have another rally point about an hour after the real event. Of course in another location just to keep the muggles thinking. We did not have this and I missed out on meeting plenty of great people and the ones I did talk to I didn’t have enough time.
