Congratulations to Marc, Ralph, Seth and Bob on finding 232 caches in 24 hours south of the border. See GC1Y22P for the whole story. The only other thing I have to say is “wish I was there”.

Yep…I would have liked to been on that trip as well….amazing job.
11/09/2009 at 1:58 pm #1916543Oh come on! THB on Marc’s sholders and no pics? 😆
Congrats on a HUGE day guys! Nice log, Marc.
11/09/2009 at 2:42 pm #1916544Wow ❗ That’s amazing…I got tired just reading the log. Congratulations 😀
Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
11/09/2009 at 3:19 pm #1916545I think that’s the longest log I’ve seen written by Marc! Sure beats “.” And I agree with TBC–no pics?
But congrats go out to the entire team of intrepid cachers for all their planning and executing of this mission. We travel through that area quite a bit, and we’re glad we didn’t see any mention of getting stuck in the mud. 😳 Good thing you were moving fast enough to overlook the lack of scenic variety there–corn or beans, or like now, nothing but flat open spaces.
And please, guys, don’t get any ideas for cache placements around here! 😡
11/09/2009 at 3:22 pm #1916546I think outlining Outagamie, Calumet, Winnebago ……..
11/09/2009 at 3:23 pm #1916547Congrats on a huge day!
11/09/2009 at 3:24 pm #1916548I had a much longer log …. but GC limits you to 4000 characters. Had to edit a lot.
11/09/2009 at 11:19 pm #1916549Got to thinking about that car ride home. About 35,000 smileys sitting in that vehicle, with almost 1000 new ones from the weekend. WTG, guys!

Congrats on a task well accomplished.
This makes me wonder though – All these counties have county line in Lake Winnebago. This could make for some interesting 5/5 caches. 😉

11/10/2009 at 1:53 am #1916552Whew! I’ll bet with that crew in the car, it was a riot. Wouldn’t want to log all those, LOL. Congratulations!
11/10/2009 at 3:43 am #1916553That was some trip! Congrats to all of you 🙂 Now you have to make it an annual event in a new area each year, and try to beat your total. 😛

Riot? Only if you count setting the new world’s records for the most flatulence jokes in a single day as a riot.
It was a fun trip, lots of great scenery and lots of laughs along the way.
We averaged 11.6 finds/hour along the way, and it would have been higher if it had not been for flooding last week washing quite a few away, leaving us with lots of DNFs.
It would be very possible to get over the 300 mark in 24 hours on the MutherandSun caches, with a little planning and with the right team, so I dont expect the 232/day to stand long as the most per day by a Wisconsin team. On the other hand, I dont think it would be possible to get to the world record 413/day that EMC of Northridge, f0t0m0m, and Ventura Kids set in Colorado. The roads just are not conducive to getting caches at that fast of a rate in Illinois, as they are in Colorado.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun. Anybody who wants to go for a trip in March for 300/day in IL, just sign up below. (Unless you have problem flatulence that is.)
