What? Addicted to what? No…not me! No, I didn’t jump from 100 to 200 in two weeks…no such thing as addiction to caching. Uhmmmm…I’m just out hiking w/ my sister. Yes, that’s it…just out hiking! Is it Thursday yet…time to check the e-mail. HA!

04/29/2004 at 5:45 pm #1747254…when you hear your spouse say, “What if we just left a rock?” and you respond, “Sure, people leave geodes and crystals, for example”. And your spouse replies, “No, I meant, what if we just left Iraq?” Sherpa Girl had been listening to the news and, well, you know where my mind was…
05/03/2004 at 4:21 am #1747255You know that you are addicted when everyone in your family has their own geohandle, and is on the way to everyone owning a GPS or 3. Isn’t that right, Beast?

you are sending a professional e-mail at work letting them know that you will be attending the conference and will “pay cache at the door.” You don’t even notice the error, send the e-mail, and get a response from the person questioning ‘cache?’!! Oops!05/13/2004 at 5:47 pm #1747257…when you look at everything as a potential cache container…
Today I was looking at my water cup on my desk. It’s one of those big plastic ones you can buy from Cousin’s subs. (approx 1.25L) I picked it up (with water in it) turned it upside-down to see if it would contain the water. It did.
I think I’m going to buy another one, hot-glue the pop-tops into place, and use it for my next cache container.
05/13/2004 at 7:00 pm #1747258… you’re filling out your timecard for work (3 weeks late) and use your geocaching account calendar to figure out what days you took vacation hours to geocache. – bnb

every time you are in Sam’s Club you just “have to buy” another pack of AA batteries because you just do not want to run out and because you have no idea if you really need them or not but know eventually you will!06/04/2004 at 2:46 am #1747260You know you are addicted when ..
You have meetings out of town for work and you plan on grabbing 1 or 2 caches nearest the location of the meeting, instead of going out to lunch with everyone, figuring you can grab fast food to eat on the way back!
06/04/2004 at 1:16 pm #1747261When each member of your team has a GPSr, and you have a spare!
06/10/2004 at 12:04 am #1747262when your reading you might be addicted.. laughing and you wife says your long past addiction.
06/11/2004 at 1:34 am #1747263You know you’re addicted when you can’t go for a walk around the neighborhood without checking out every tree along the way, looking for a great place to hide a microcache.
06/11/2004 at 3:10 am #1747264I know my five year old is addicted when he comes home from the school field trip (to a farm) and mentions he followed the trail into the nearby woods to see if there were any good cache hiding places.
It’s good to corrupt them young.
06/11/2004 at 3:32 am #1747265Astro-D, I can top that one. My niece is on a personal mission to recruit all her classmates to geocaching. She knows that 2 classmates parents own GPS units already .. yeah, I can see another Basics class on my calendar soon
06/25/2004 at 8:34 pm #1747266I’m not addicted to finding caches. But I seem to have developed an overly strong need to monitor the GC website or my email, for hits on the ones I’ve hidden In fact if someone hasn’t found one of mine in a week I look for an excuse to drive in that area to check on it I think (or hope) it’s a side effect of it seeming that there are not many finders in my area
06/26/2004 at 1:33 am #1747267I go from one addiction (racing triathlons) to geocaching. I just swapped one addiction for another.
EnergySaver has some great caches…come up and find them. Earth Angel -
