Your recent FUNNY geo-experience?

I think we’re all due for some meaningless fun? Share a recent funny experience you had geocaching.

For our team, it was yesterday, while hunting the final for “I Believe” (GC27E3) … a great cache that has just come back to life. Our 13 year old daughter, that some of you know as somewhat of a bloodhound when it comes to finding caches, was zeroing in on a hollow old tree, as we are approaching she yells “I see it under hear, way in the back, its an ammo box covered in fur!” About 2 seconds later that ammo box jumped out of the hole and ran away. Our daughter was soooooooo close to it that should could hardly see that it was a rabbit as it ran away. It took her a few minutes to recover, but only half as long as it took us to stop laughing. Was not the right spot for the final container, but who cares, the moment was priceless.

Was caching on Mackinaw Island back in October with my caching friend Cache_boppin_BunnyFuFu. We had just logged a cache and was walking out to the main path, when I saw a small green apple laying on the ground. Thought that was a little strange, as there were no Apple trees around there at all. In fact, only a few pines in the general area. As Da Fu was walking ahead of me, I threw the apple up in the air, just over her head, and it came down right in front of her. Seeing the apple, she’s looking all around with a mystified look, looking for that darn apple tree!! She says, “Where the heck did that come from?” She quickly figured it out as it was impossible to keep a straight face.

I love doing that kind of stuff to my family, mainly pine cones. You and BunnyFuFu … you guys must leave a trail of fun everywhere you go, I still click back to your entries at my Valley of Oz TB Zoo series and laugh at what you guys say about the experience. I hope you and Fu can make it to a geo event were planning (most likely late April or early May), you’ve inspired me to make it a real riot.
