02/12/2008 at 2:27 pm #1884466Congratulations my friend, it was a good run. Pretty easy milestone cache, but it was in the middle of nowhere in pretty country and it was an FTF BABY!
02/13/2008 at 1:43 am #1884467Hey all,
Thanks for the comments.
For this milestone, I ended up breaking my own unwritten rule that milestone caches should be at a special place. As it turned out, Seth and I found a LOT more caches in SE Illinois on our Delorme run this past weekend than I imagined possible. I was figuring that I would get close to the 6K milestone on the weekend, and then get the 6K milestone this week back home, but it did not work out that way.
So, just for the record, the 6K milestone was at a really lame cache, placed in a rural signpost in the middle of frickin nowhere Illinois. The only redeeming factor was that it was a fun and interesting area to travel thru, with agriculture mixed in with oil derricks and gravel roads. Also, we did get our second FTF of the trip there, so that was a bonus.

02/13/2008 at 1:54 am #1884468Congrats Zuma, A special place or not, it is still a feat to be considered great. Not to mention you did it with friends. So that makes it all worth it.
02/13/2008 at 2:14 am #1884469Way to go Ralph!!!!! Can’t wait to cache with you again soon!!
02/17/2008 at 3:37 am #1884470Congratulations!
You are making it difficult for me to ever catch you. 😉
02/17/2008 at 3:00 pm #1884471Warm Congrats, Ralph! Except for the lack of challenge, it sounds like a great milestone out on an interesting road trip and an FTF to boot. Wow, 6000! How many FTFs NOW?!!
