If this series is anything like the Yellowstone Trail series, THe Chippewa River Trail series will be great. But, hold on Zuma, we haven’t finished the first one yet.
I can see this is going to put more miles on the beastmobile.I can’t wait to get our bikes up there this spring to do this series! Thanks for keeping us busy zuma!

* * * * * * * * * *I have “bagged” several of the new ones on the trail this week. Nicely done. There is something for everyone; nice easy ones and some longer walks. I am fond of the Ghost of Mary Dean though. Nicely done.
It will likely take a few months to complete, but hopefully most of the new Chippewa River Trail caches will be in place by the start of biking season.
The intention of the series is to allow folks to bike and cache, along the entire length of the trail. For that reason, several of the caches are a long ways from parking areas, making biking to them a plus.
I also hope to have a few caches that highlight the flora and the fauna along the trail, to make it at least a bit educational, and a few on the history along the trail.

This has been a great series already, and every time I get my pocket queries by e-mail, there’s another couple added to it. I look forward to biking it, but have already done several of the caches, including a couple that involved fairly long walks where I probably would have been better off waiting until the snow melts and using my bike. But I enjoy walking too – you see a lot of wildlife that way. And the history and information about each cache is great! Keep up the good work Zuma!
We spent the last three days caching in the Eau Claire area and we did nearly 20 of the Chippewa trail caches. We were puzzled, amused, entertained, informed,…it is just a very impressive piece of geocaching work. Our only regret was that we didn’t bring bikes so we had to keep hiking back out the car and moving ahead. It would be so much fun to be able to just bike ahead to the next cache. The trail itself is blacktop and goes through beautiful country. Plan to take a bike trip this summer and enjoy Zuma’s work on this one. It’s worth the drive.
