Congrats you two, way to go and a Happy many more finds.. 😀
There are many great Jackson county caches put out by Snyder Bear and others. Check out the series south of Black River Falls which has GC1HYP7 in it. when you are done with this series all the smiles make one big smile. Another series is the Phrappy series done for Snyder Bears Daughter south of Hwy 54 off of North Settelement road. Both of these series will give any cacher a good workout. These are the kind of caches that we enjoy most, ones that make a person work for them. Get out, hike or bike and get some exercise. 🙂
Congrats on find #1500… 😀
Congrats Mimi, welcome to the addictive sport of geocaching… 😀
Congrats Pat & Mark…. Way to go… 😀
Thanks… 😀
I am not sure if we will make it Friday but we will be there on Saturday. 1 Tent, 2 people..
We have enjoyed reading about everyones handles so I guess I have to explain our handle… I started out as Bobber16 for (Bobber- my motorcycle) and (16- my favorite number). This handle did not last long as once my better half got more involved she thought we needed something better.. She came up with (2nd Time Around) for the fact that it is both of our 2nd chance at marriage and a lasting partnership.. We should have been married already but have put it off untill this next summer… Our big day is aug. 13 and go figure we will be missing the West Bend Cache Bash….. We both almost thought about putting it off again being that we had such a blast at last summers event but we figured the wedding was just a little more important. We will have to miss next year but will not miss W.B.C.B. 2012… See you all on the trails and Happy Caching….. 😀
My better half and I will both be out hunting… She likes to hunt even more then I do. To all hunters and fellow cachers that may be in the woods…Please be safe and enjoy the hunt.
As for the Sandlanders previous post….. You two write the most meaningful posts we have ever read…. We always appreciate your kind words in your posts… 🙂
I was just venting earlier and I also understand that not all people will re-hide a cache the way it was intended. It is just frustrating when it only takes a second and by not doing so it ruins the find for the next cacher.. As for people not signing a log, I have questioned people on certain caches and it was obvious that they never found the cache… I did not delete their post, I just figured it was their loss and they were really only cheating themselves. Caching to us is about the journey and the adventure not just the numbers. The time we have spent caching has taken us to places we have never and would have never even known about.. That is the fun for us… 😀
Just to let everyone know… The cache that ended up in the Petenwell damm was cache #GC153RQ Tributary/ Off The Hook out of Stevens Point. It looks like this cache made it through multible damms and it is in very good condition…Amazing…. When our friend found it, it was bone dry on the inside and floating. We have contacted the owner and will be getting their cache back to them as soon as possible.
We have a friend that works for Castle Rock dams and he called me the other day to tell me they found a cache. Seems that when they were cleaning out the dams on Petenwell after the recent flooding they came accross a ammo can. He told me that when they opened it the contents were completely dry…. He does not know much about Geocaching so he could not tell who it belonged to but we are planning on taking a ride down to his house this weekend to retrieve it from him. When I find out who it belongs to I will get in touch with them. Being that the contents in the can were completly dry says alot for the durability of ammo cans as caches… 😀 The Wisconsin river was really flowing and we are sure that can got bounced around alot…..
Great looking coin, ordered ours today, can’t wait to recieve them….[:)]
We will help in any way possible, just let us know what to do.. 8)
