Last time we saw you we were congratulating you on a fresh 1000!!!
WOW!!! & CONGRATULATIONS!
We’d be happy to scatter some around Northeast Wisconsin!!!!
Way to go! You’ll have to share the info with Steve and Laura (if I don’t happen to first :P)
We’ve not actually completed the Walla Hi Multi, but we have done the others in the park (Walla Hi Micro, Walla Hi Kids’, Walla Hi Bonus). We spent the better portion of an afternoon hiking around the park, and it’s beautiful! We’ll be back for the multi, and would recomend the park to anyone!
Just saw that the series is live now!
GRRR!!! The last week of school!!! It’ll have to wait for us, but we look forward to seeing others working on the series.
Looks very cool!!!!
ThanksGood for you Brew! Here’s to many many more!!!!
‘Looks like you’re flying at a pretty quick speed yourself! Congrats on 900! Wow!
We’re so proud that WISearchers caught it! Yeah! Sorry for misleading the thread, but the replies are awesome!
Those aliens were good too! I forgot how they were afraid of the phone and clock–LOL
School House was on in between cartoons along with the owl who knows how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop!
I find it interesting how it’s bread and milk we always run out of (the stick of “buttah” just comes along for the ride)
Looking forward to the gathering! (Sorry to continue to be off-topic, but it’s so much fun!)
We’ll throw in our $.02 worth
If we didn’t have problems with the popularity of the park, Penninsula would be a wonderful place to go! It has the lake nearby. 3800 acres
There are also the Kettle Moraines to consider. Northern is 30,000, and Southern is 20,000 acres–Ottawa is a nice area. Could those be too big?
I guess like the Paddlers, we too are looking for a date to secure on our calendars. Somehow dates fill up fast for us in the summer. Any ideas for that?
We picked it up on Sunday morning along with all the other caches in the area. It was where you described it.
We cached today, and EVERYTHING was like walking on a sponge. Anything that had water near it was problematic. More than one time, we found ourselves wondering whether the cache had been swept away. Water was roarin’ today through any small river–swollen up the banks.
Sauk Creek in Port Washington reminded us of some rapids from our Grand Canyon rafting adventure of last summer!
Hope we didn’t lose too many caches this weekend! Hope everyone is dry.
“…a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, and a stick of butter…”
Or perhaps they’ll be bagels…..
Sign us up!

I (Carole) say “hear hear!” as well to Tony! Way to go and saying it so perfectly. It’s a sport and the rule of enjoyment will vary. Some want location location? Fine! Others go for easy finds? Fine! Both? Great!
This is a sport that will evolve. Some may get hung up on “the good ol’ days” and there’s no one to change that attitude. I’m bummed virtuals have gotten such a bad rap, because there are some really neat places I’ve seen because of them. But, c’est la vie, I’ll live, and I’ll continue to enjoy the finds.
I also enjoy a challenge. Tim and I still talk about Devil’s Lake Revisited (at the time, we felt we were morans for doing it)–it was a great challenge! But do I want to do one of those every day? Not really. And would my parents even have tried geocaching then? Absolutely not. It’s a sport for all.
That is another reason why I love it so much! Tim and I were just talking about all the doors geocaching has opened for us. We’ve met some really great people, made friendships, feel connected. And it’s a mix of people–young, wise, single, married, families, etc. There is no way those friendships would have happened on their own. And there no way we’d meet all these different people if it didn’t vary so much. It’s not just for one type of people.
I do enjoy a long day of caching our brains out, and easy ones are cool to rack up some numbers. Yes, Tim and I enjoy our numbers. We like making personal goals. But, that’s not how it needs to be for everyone. That’s how we like it.
This is my opinion, and I can see the point of view others might have. But I don’t think we want to start turning our noses up at others. I’m not saying I’m perfect (as Tony also admitted). We’re just one big family that continues to grow, and that’s not always easy, cuz it was nice how it was, but it’s not going to stay that way.
As my manager from a decade ago would often say, “With change comes growth.”
More importantly, have fun, and happy caching!
“Like what you do. Do what you like”
Thanks Tony!
We were given a slight hint. We noticed that the buttons were different than the shirts and hoped to find one at the shelter too. (hee hee) We were glad for the hint as our goal was to find as many as possible.
Neat ideas shone through at the campout! What creativity!
Way to go! How did camping go for you anyways? We’ve met you, and we think we saw you at the campout, but we didn’t get a chance to talk. I hope you had a blast!
On to 200!
