It looks like the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway is part of the National Parks Service, which means Geocaching has technically been banned there for a while. I don’t know that getting in touch with anyone would help, but I supose it doesn’t hurt to try………..
Well, I tried all of those things, and got notta. Since Maryann will be at the registration desk with Trudy and the Beast, maybe someone could look at it for her.
I appreciate it. Hope you all have a great time. I would rather be caching myself.
With 17 hours left, the bid was up to about $310. If there were 600 ammo cans, that is only .50 each… plus your shipping.
Of course, the shipping would probably be more than the cans. Oh well, my garage was too full for them anyway.
Hey Beast, have you thought about contacting PK? She could use a beginning session…
I am planning (hopefully) on spending Mother’s day caching. Gee, I hope the kids do too…
Mom Priebe
Feel free to email me and we can set something up also. I am in the Falls, but know your area well.
There are cacher’s in your area. I am not far away either. I would not want my kids to hook up with someone off the internet, but there are things you can do. Trudy and the beast have discussed having breakfast meetings on Saturday mornings over at Heinemans on Brown Deer. (Not too far) This would give your mom a chance to meet some of the cachers and you might be able to tag along on a caching trip.
Guess what?………I don’t trust a whole lot of people on the internet either, so your Mom already has something in common…… I would try to find someone in your area with a GPS. Many hunters have them, so if you know anyone that hunts, ask them if you could borrow it. That would at least give you an idea whether you’ll like it. What am I saying?!! You’re gonna love it!! If your Mom likes to get out onto the trails every now and then, or go for walks, then geocaching is something she’d really enjoy. Here’s some promotional ideas you could use………
1. It’s a great opportunity to spend quality time together.
2. It’s a great exercise routine that doesn’t cost much and is actually pleasant to do.
3. It gets you outside and away from the TV.I’m clear over here on the western side of WI, or I would take you guys out myself…..
If you have a drivers license, you can go with a friend of yours……..Good luck!!
I think I will need a special program set up to explain the last couple of posts. I want to get a PDA also, but think that I will need an interpretor when I get it.
Ok, I’m trying to cast my vote, but I’m getting an error message. Am I using the wrong password? The wrong name? Heck, I dont’ know! Any ideas?
Database error: Invalid SQL: SELECT * FROM member WHERE (nick = ‘Geo-Johnson’s’)
MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax near ‘s’)’ at line 1)
Session halted.so the newest geocaching fad is coordinating flea and tick collars… oops, I mean bracelets…
I’m glad it came up when it did. I think the beast was going thru WGA Withdrawal…
This weekend? Sure, put us down for 2…
we would like to plan a cache-in/trash-out event here on the west side……..there’s a place in Hudson Wisconsin that needs some serious clean up attention. This place is used by boaters galore in the summer months and unfortunately it gets trashed big time! I’ve tried searching geocache.com’s website for ideas on how to organize an event cache……i know i’ve read some posts about it, but I can’t seem to find it now. Does anyone here have any ideas or know where I could find something about it?
I hate when I try to use the phone like a 10 key? It just doesn’t work…
