Another suggestion would be that the coins be made of plastic (recycled of course). I know that there are a few plastics manufacturers in the area, and I could see that quite of few of these could be done up at one time. Also, to cut back on the scrap, the coins could be square not round, making them stand out even more. At one time, my old high school taught plastic fabrication. That could be another avenue to check.
Just tossing out ideas…

Another option is a WGA-labelled CD. CD-R disks are VERY inexpensive, watch for sales at local computer stores. A stack of 100 can be had for $20 or so. A pack of 50 paper CD envelopes can be had for less than $10, if I remember correctly. Labels can be printed with the logo and stuck on each one. And what would be on the CD? That’s up to WGA. A link to the web site of course, and to geocaching.com. Maybe some photos of favorites places, past gatherings, etc., the WGA theme song (make one up!). Once a ‘master’ disk has been created, it can be distributed and freely copied among WGA members. CD Writers are becoming more prevalent all the time. My $.02 worth.[This message has been edited by nadaclue (edited 01-06-2003).]
The Longitude and Latitude song would really need to be considered for this application…

FREE??? Between the bandaids, the GPS, the boots, the snacks, the trade items, the asprin, the park permits, the bug repellant, the sun block… How can you say this is “free”? Just teasing guys…
Between meetings at school and at scouts, I haven’t had time to put my feet up. Our daughter will be taking an orienteering session through the scouts. Maybe when she is done, she can teach me….
GEE – I would not mind getting the whole set. Just think of how we could torture, um, I mean, teach our kids with these!!
Your son-in-law had some very interesting ideas too. Talk to him. I liked his coordinates idea.
Have you introduced him to geocaching?
And, I can echo Ken’s sentiments about the rest of the group.

I’m stocking up on the Advil and ice packs so when we go out on Tom’s Sportster with the skinny back seat, I’ll be able to walk the next day. But somehow, this seems such a small price to pay.
Let me know when you want to go, and hopefully it will be a weekend that he doesn’t work.
I am soooo green with envy… Bike is in shop this weekend for 1000 mile check up. Driver will be sleeping… Darn. Sounds like more fun than cleaning….
Not going to be able to get ahold of other party. Take the other offer. I tried logging in last night but my browser was not working. Really sorry about delay….
I might know someone who might be. Gotta ballpark of what you are looking for?
This one is especially nice after doing some of the others in the area. Hot or cold, they have something to tide you over while completing the stash.
