I think I could talk other half into another weekend. He got offered double time for Sunday though.
Did you have a buyer?
While the Melting pot theory is good, I especially like the salad analogy. Of course, I like anything to do with food.
If you look back at our country’s history, even to a novice like myself, you will see a long long line of oppressed people. Not mentioned previously were the Irish, Chinese, blacks, Indians, women, and I am sure quite a few others. Luckily, as our country aged, most of these groups found more and more acceptance. This country is a “melting pot” (I’ve heard that before) of many cultures, races, and religions. Our goal should be to work together to create a life based on the idea that ALL MEN (and women) ARE CREATED EQUALLY. I do not feel that true Americans are intolerant. They can’t be. If you go back in our history, there is a very good chance that each of us was part of a group that was targeted. Good luck to your Lybian friends, and they are blessed to have a friend who believes in them.
If you have a friend with a gps, they could set up dummy “caches” for you. By setting up coordinates and trying to locate them, you will get used to trying to read it. I found the best way to figure out what my GPS can do is wandering around “lost” in the woods.
Another way is to cache with another team. Work together to get to the end. You can learn that way too. Special thanks to Trudy and the Beast.
Is there a record for number of caches hidden? I noticed that the lil Otter has hidden quite a few caches lately. She has almost hit 250 if she has not already done it.
Who does look good in orange?
I still would prefer orange to red or even worse, black. The season is coming (along with football) and we should be prepared. As someone who was never athletic (too clumsy) I have found caching to be a great way to move my body off of the couch and into our state’s parks. I truly believe that caching leads to more tourism and toward the preservation of our state’s green spaces. A hike in the woods seemed to be pointless, but throw in a challenge, or a game, and all of a sudden, hiking is fun. I actually got excited when I bought my first pair of hiking boots. I even got 2 pair right away.
The best aspect of caching is the pleasure of doing this with my kids. They learn that exercise is fun, and they occasionally have the pleasure of watching Mom fall on her behind. Just the new market on bandaids should keep Johnson & Johnson in business for a long time. I am not an expert on caching, but see that this is a chance for me to spend time with my kids in the fresh air, exercising, and learning.
My kids have chosen caching over spending time hanging out with their friends. My parents are cachers, my sister just became a cacher, and I am related to at least one other cacher. I enjoy seeing my kids hiking the trails with their Opa and Grandma.
I would be heartbroken to learn that this hobby is prohibited by the DNR. Whatever I can do to help our cause, please feel free to let me know.

I try not to think of 35 as older. Makes my bones ache.
WTG! Trudy and Beast pointed out your accomplishment. Quite the feat (or is it feet) See you at the picnic.
