For a moment, I was speechless.
I think useless drivel is a kind of synonym for a moot point…I could see the discussion regarding the picnic and the earlier one posted a few days ago too, without logging in. Because they have disappeared now=moot point=useless drivel.
I haven’t been paying attention to mine, and realized I am close to a minor 00. I do feel a little like I should make it something more special, but I do agree that any cache that is found with great caching buddies, or in a special place, or has a unique component to the cache or the container, that makes it milestone-worthy.
So much uniqueness in our state parks–I am glad you got to all of them on this quest! Way to go!
State parks are great places to cache and especially for a milestone–congrats to you!
There’s no keeping this milestone a secret! Congrats to you both on a monumental moment! 🙂
Thanks H1of2 for the list! I enjoyed seeing familiar names from the past as well as seeing so many I do not know. There are even a few active cachers still on the list.
I also enjoyed the discussion on Message in a Bottle so I had to look it up. So few finders 🙁 I know I would enjoy a cache like this but it would frustrate me not to have the means to solve the waypoints. Like the comments say, sometimes archive is the best option. Or maybe a finder or local cacher would be able to adopt it and re-align the clues to current landmarks? I don’t know if this possible, but if the site is worthy of a cache, that might be a way to keep it going with someone who is active.
12 hour–plus BUMP
Here I am making a midday guest appearance, and it seems I am not missing much by usually being at work. Does anyone have a good caching story for today? I will check back tomorrow for the details.
The best geocaching story I have ever had was the time I was out with the Hitwoman caching and we borrowed a ladder from a farmer.
Uh, yeah, I suppose that makes for a good story now, but at the time, probably not so much.

Thanks for all the ideas. The winner of the seventh layer is caramel balls. I guess I don’t spend enough time in the baking aisle–there is so much to choose from!
The Seven Layer bars consist of a layer of a graham/butter crust, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut, and chopped nuts. I like the suggestions so far and will have to see what is available when I get to the store. Sampling…haha! If I am lucky, I might get a bite. They are for a community meal that people supply desserts for. I did a homemade pie once, and have done cake mix cakes mostly. I am being adventurous trying out a bar recipe, but I have made them before so they should be fine.
I have no contribution to the allergy question and I can’t relate to mint chip (I like all the weird flavors). But this is thread stealers, so here is my contribution to move the page along–It is National Drink Wine Day, the Powerball jackpot is getting to the point where more people go crazy on the ticket-buying, and I can’t get into the chiropractor today so it will have to wait until tomorrow 🙁 But on the lighter side (not in calories), this weekend I am making the Eagle Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars. However, they apparently consider melted butter a layer, and that is just wrong. The butter combines with the graham cracker crumbs to form the crust, so now I have to come up with another item to keep it seven layers. Maybe I will add another kind of chip.
I imagine there are groundhogs southwest of Wisconsin that won’t be coming out today. But a happy birthday to a local former FTP-hog that I haven’t seen here in a while. She’ll probably be out caching today 🙂
