Congratulations Gail and John! And to think I knew you sometime between the first two pictures, and then met you again sometime between the second two pictures! All the best to you in the non-caching side of life as well 🙂
I’ve been told the robins are around all winter, but I have never seen any before…until today.
Oh yes, we had lots of help after not having enough last year–the naturalist and two volunteers, five teachers, and three parents. Some of the 4K boys were disappointed to find out we were not going snow-shooting.
Took 27 four- and five-year olds snowshoeing today. Last year it was hovering near zero degrees. This year the challenge was getting the snowshoes on and keeping them on.
I attended a meeting last night of the Northeast WI Land Trust explaining their proposed plans for the Oconto Preserve which they purchased last year. Someone in the forums, I think amita 17, suggested I place some new caches there. Some of the neighboring landowners educated me last night of the fact that the new preserve is mostly wetlands and a mosquito and woodtick heaven. Hmmm…don’t relish the thought of placing any geocaches there, much less looking for any
Yep, that was me. I appreciate you looking out for us. It seems they are encouraging hunting, fishing, hiking, cross-country skiing, and birdwatching. Some might not want to brave the elements you mentioned in those activities either
. But it is still nice to have some more land with the public being encouraged to explore it. 🙂No smart phone, but someday for sure…it is just an expense I can’t take right now.
No book of faces, but likely someday. I don’t care for some of the limitations on registration and I am waiting to see how things evolve. It may be unavoidable at some point, but I can’t see myself being addicted to it like some are. There is too much else to do in life and not enough time for everything.
I am not opposed to technology nor am I jealous of those who can afford the best and most recent. Priorities, money or otherwise, are just a little different in my case.
Let’s not forget:
It’s squirrel appreciation day!

I guess not.

Does it work for any number?

Where’s Trekkin’ now? http://www.banjolove.com/#main Scroll to the image of the mosaic. He’s in there!
I think I found him…unless he played banjo as a child.
Oh my goodness! I check in after 6 hours and luckily, just before I post, JimandLinda does…I thought maybe it was broken. While I am happy to see other forum topics getting action, something is wrong when I am a TS frequent poster. My contract calls for cameos with occasional extended storyline arcs. Where are all the TS lead characters? Is there an award show tonight for them I am not aware of?J&L, the official WBCB accountant is here, so he is not tabulating the results. Shopko day is over. What life stuff is keeping everyone busy?
A :ftp: just sitting there for 40 minutes?
I decided I needed to have the glory of posting on the triple 5 page. It seems I am in good company!
Thanks HH for bringing it back. This was fun to read and see the map. I think most people commented in fun. Even if many of the earlier cachers aren’t active anymore, it is still fun to hear the discussion on territories and why to call it that. It also helps when some of the earlier cachers still active refer to things in the past, to have this reference. I didn’t see the earlier posts before yours. I wonder if it is because I went to recent posts by topic instead of going in through Forums. It also could be why the “some time ago” conversation didn’t have any meaning for me…I always could see times of last posts. Thanks again!
Can someone post the original (or updated) map? I barely remember it and I am sure some don’t know what this thread is about.
