3400? <gasp!> That’s a lot of smileys! Here’s one more 🙂 Congrats!
Maybe this is Homecoming Week in the Thread Stealers’ Thread. I would like that.
Oh yes, that would be fun to see. Maybe those of you who keep in contact with cachers who used to frequent this site could ask them to just check in and say hi. Maybe some of them would even visit more often!
Way to go Marc! You were the first cacher I met and you introduced me to many more cachers, as well as to the WGA. Thanks for sharing your expertise along the way to your milestone!
How does Groundspeak (or any of us) know a “cheat” log from anyone just logging a cache they didn’t find? I guess I am confused that suddenly now they are policing this, like how do they know these cachers don’t actually find the cache? Isn’t that the owner’s call, to check the log?
Any more picnic tales to report?
I spent the day helping with a trail run at the Purdy Preserve and baking two pies. Not quite Northwest Wisconsin woods standards, but I did see two deer, many geese, and lots of woodland creatures.
Enjoy the picnic, all you who are going!
Click on today’s Google doodle to see who is moonlighting over there now…
So that’s where he’s been lately!
Nice photo, SL! I am so sick of logging. If it were up to me, I’d just keep a running list of notes that say “found” and not bother with the actual found log. I don’t know how people who do big power trails or massive caching trips week after week can do this. Well….yes I do. *eye roll*
I just finished logging my caches for the Cache Ba$h, which was in early August. I am also caught up after that. Usually I am much faster. My logs aren’t must-reads, but I do try to include something about the cache, the day, who I am with, and often, the birds! (Seldom is it favorable about the birds.) One thing about late logs is that an owner might be more likely to read them especially if they are used to getting cut-and-paste or TFTC or just so many they can’t keep up. I did log one photo this time. If my technology could keep up with the process, I would do more. Mostly I don’t cache that much in one outing that I can’t find time to log them fairly quickly. And T &B, aren’t there two of you? How do you decide who does the logging for each cache or caching trip?
:ftp:
Everyone knows I am cheap.
Seriously, do I have to do everything myself?
LTP.
Good morning! This is your wake-up call. FTP time! Are you up yet?
FTP for Monday.
Hellooo?
Come one everyone, I can’t be the last to bed AND the first one up!
It’s been a while since we have seen the dancing bacon. Here is an article; who knew bacon could inspire a person to be more mindful?

This weekend is the Fox Cities Marathon events, including the 5K tomorrow. And I get to cache at Hartman Creek State Park, so a busy, but fun weekend!
Another random question…I notice some people in this forum use other names for places that would seem to be commonly known (face place, starry place, blue roof place) and I wondered if there is some kind of rule that you aren’t supposed to use the actual names.
And the cream rises to the top…
Or is that hot air?
Either way, here is my post.
