Amita, I was having trouble over the weekend with not all of the menu options showing up or responding to me, but I usually attribute any problems I have to my browser that can no longer be updated. However, when I used another browser, there was still some goofy stuff for a while. Maybe it’s just lasting longer for you. Reloading or refreshing sometimes helps, switching browsers sometimes helps, logging out and logging back in sometimes helps… and paying The Squirrel with nuts or compliments sometimes helps. Just keep posting… You’ll find us and we’ll find you!
I still haven’t had any time at home to deal with my computer. At least the library is on the way home from work. I can’t log in on either one, but the F5 trick works most of the time. Sometimes if I go into something off of the home page, then it will reveal I am logged in. Refreshing the page doesn’t work, but I am finding ways to stay on top of things. What really would work is finding money I didn’t know I had so I could enter this decade in technology, or maybe hire my own Squirrel, or both. 🙂
Thanks for the suggestions regarding the unusual problem with my one drop-down menu. I am currently using a library computer and having no such issues. I will have to mess with my computer when I am home and have time to deal with it.
HB, LN! FTF?
Since I am looking for the forums, I’ll ask in one of the most popular ones…I used to find the forums/recent replies by topic under the WGA Modules drop down menu. But now all I get there is one option, that is grayed out, close x. To find the forums, I have to use the search option. It has been this way for me for about 3 days. There were lots of other options under Modules that are gone too. Can you tell me where all these items have moved? Thanks all!
Belated appreciation for the squirrel!
Big congratulations to you both!
Yesterday I noticed a new thing above my avatar, that it listed me as a member. Today, it lists me as a non-member. I didn’t change anything in my profile, just wondering what’s up.
Happy Birthday to all the Dec. 27th Threadstealers! 🙂 I also miss the sweet treats and the gathering but as some traditions fade, others are born. Fun puzzle too, thanks for the link!
Odd publishing of some of WA’s new caches …. email says new and then when I open them in GC, they are archived.
Perhaps they are his caches for the event tomorrow and were published early? But some are active and have been found… maybe he enabled them after you checked. My message said they are bookmarked on the event page, but I don’t see it. That’s ok, I can find them other ways. 😉
I can only get into the forums on the most recent” button. Anyone else having that problem? When I click on forums it says not authorized.
I had the same issue. I contacted T B C and he suggested clicking on the Lost Password section and resetting my password. That worked.
Adding to the wish list of nonessentials but I would use:
emoticon library
a “jump to page” drop down menu or type in number, especially for the threads with many pages
<P>I had an emoticon in my previous post that I cut and pasted from an online source, but it didn’t show up. Do we have those on this site like we had before?</P>
<P>No emoticon library yet like we had before. Some are standard shortcuts, and those still work. Our “special” emoticons that TBC made for us have yet to make it to the new site. If you use an image from an online source, I think you have to post that as an image, or maybe a link. Quoting a post that has emoticons in it shows them as those images or links, though, not as quoted emoticons.</P>
<P>The shortcuts I have been using so far are:</P>
<P>winky-face — semi-colon, right parenthesis to get <IMG class=wp-smiley alt=;) src=”http://wi-geocaching.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif”><BR>evil smiley — colon, twisted, colon to get ZB’s <IMG class=wp-smiley alt= src=”http://wi-geocaching.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif”><BR>smiley — colon, right parenthesis to get <IMG class=wp-smiley alt=:) src=”http://wi-geocaching.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif”><BR>eye roll — colon, roll, colon to get <IMG class=wp-smiley alt= src=”http://wi-geocaching.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif”><BR>sad smiley — colon, left parenthesis to get <IMG class=wp-smiley alt=:( src=”http://wi-geocaching.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif”><BR>sunglasses — 8 then dash then right parenthesis to get <IMG class=wp-smiley alt=8-) src=”http://wi-geocaching.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif”><BR>big grin — colon, D to get <IMG class=wp-smiley alt=:D src=”http://wi-geocaching.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif”></P>Ok, thanks. But I don’t know what you are typing for “twisted”, and “roll”. Are these Mac keys? 😉

Good Morning!
Amita are you still lurking about?
That is about the time I signed off. If I am still on the site right after 5:00 a.m., that is not good, as I need to get ready for work. If you see I am still on then, feel free to yell at me to get off the computer!
Thanks Pat and Brian. I was able to find my profile and how to add to it. I knew I hadn’t completed any portion of the WGA Series, but it is fun to see how many I have yet to do in each of the biomes.
