4000? 😯 You’re so modest it seems many of us didn’t know it was your milestone at the event. Sorry I didn’t get to say congrats in person. Way to go! 🙂
Congratulations on a momentous milestone! I enjoyed the log and photos. What a clever theme for your milestone. Maybe when I get that many finds I will get creative too. Thanks for your inspiration along the way and congratulations on 7000 🙂
Hey, I know you… 😉 Always good to see familiar faces in caching. That is fewer people I have to recruit! Thanks for joining in at the local events. Hosting a meet & greet is another way to get to know everyone. Or volunteer your team…CITOs are coming up in spring. See you out and about! Welcome to the WGA 🙂

Why do cachers need to go through all of this rigamarole to do what they’ve always been doing?
🙄
(Since I used the word “rigamarole”, you may call me a “fuddy-duddy” for my views.)
Not trying to be a thread-stealer, but I actually used the word rigamarole in conversation today! 😆 I guess that makes me a fuddy-duddy too!

Amita, I think there is a rumor of new caches to be published in time for the event so you would have something new to search out.
If so, great! If not, snowshoeing alone is fun too. Just not up the hill for me. 😳
Although I have found most of the caches there, I would go along for the snowshoeing and maybe the one smiley I need. However, I would have to join you either before or after the Earthcache…I struggle with getting to the top of the hill in good conditions; I wouldn’t do well in snowshoes and breathing in the cold air. I think the kids’ pace would be way beyond what I could keep up with, not the other way around 😆
Thanks for the new thread! I had done a few from the Thread Stealers forum links, but like you said, hard to go back through the pages to find them.
This is only my perspective. I am not on Facebook currently due to the way one must establish a profile. I suspect at some point I will have to cave in. While I am not the most avid respondent on this site, I try to post something if the topic is pertinent to me or funny or sparks an interest. I check the site daily, sometimes more often if I happen to have the time. It is my main source of geocaching networking, for information, conversation, and education. I am very happy with the WGA website. 😀
You should have told us you were approaching 6000! Although difficult to plan for a specific milestone on an adventure such as that day, at least the cache was worthy of the designation. I am glad I was along for the ride on some of your walking adventures. Congratulations 🙂
I have never heard of these! I suspect the expense would be beyond what I could manage, but I would be interested to hear more about them. Maybe it is something I could plan for another year.
I think the WGA is pretty friendly in person and online 🙂 so visit with some of us at events and some of us online. You can be as chatty as you want and questions are welcomed too. See you in person or in the forums!
Since my vehicle wasn’t cooperative in the cold (even though it is kept in the garage), it was all I could manage to get to and from work. However, several of my co-workers had vehicles that didn’t work at all, so I became the designated taxi for those who keep the same schedule as I do. They keep saying how nice it was of me…nah…I am just currying favor for the future when I will no doubt need similar assistance. 😉
Congratulations, Sherry! There is always a story to go with a cache outing with you. I got to hear some of it, and maybe it is better I don’t know the whole story 😉 Glad you all had fun!
Your milestone cache looks like the kind of place I would be likely to lose my GPSr while trying to answer the questions…good thing you didn’t have that problem! Nice place for a milestone, and I am still amazed at how you make most of the finds. Congratulations on 1500 🙂
4000, way to go! 🙂 Nice to chat with you Saturday, and you were so humble, you didn’t even mention your milestone…must still be trying to get on the Nice List. Congratulations, Rod!
